Spartanburg Performance Delivery Timing
I'm excited to be doing the Spartanburg SC Performance Center Delivery soon. I have a question for anyone who's done it. BMW said that we would be finished by 3:00pm.
We are making plans and was wondering what your experience was like and what time you really wrapped up and were on the road. Did you get on the road earlier than 3:00?

I did Performance Center Delivery back in 2005. I'm not sure how much it's changed, but my PCD experience did end around 3pm.
Here's my write-up of the experience: http://blien-pcd.blogspot.com |

Thanks! It really is 3.
The reason for wanting to leave was because I was contemplating enjoying a drive on the Blue Ridge Pkwy up to Asheville right afterwards. However, I might be a little tired after a full day at the PCD. Maybe I should take that out of the plans for the day and stay a bit longer. Recommendations? Is the Zentrum not part of the day's experiences during the PCD? |

The Zentrum is part of PCD activities in that it is the starting point for the factory tour. You drive Performance Center vehicles from the Performance Center to the Zentrum/factory. After the tour, you drive back to the Perf Center.

I also headed up to Asheville and the BRP after PCD. If I recall, I hit the road around 3pm and did back roads until I-26 just south of Asheville (Hendersonville?) Then tooled around Asheville until a quick dinner at around 5:30-ish. Then back onto the BRP north until I stayed overnight in Boone NC. Keep in mind I did my PCD on May 26, so there was still a few hours of daylight after dinner to drive the BRP from Asheville to Boone. |

Does anyone know if PCD comes out of dealer allocation?

PCD is just an alternative to picking it up at your dealer for a car your order. It has no bearing on whether it is or isn't dealer allocation.
You can get a car from allocation and do PCD or you can get a car outside of allocation and do PCD. |

just came back from PCD this week. It was awesome. We left around 3:30pm and no factory tour. (will open in april/may) The rep was very thorough on car delivery. Other deliveries have left way before us, so just depends who is your adviser.
