Lowest damage reported on an insurance claim????

Hey guys. I currently have Geico Insurance. My comprehensive deductable is only $50.00. Well this weekend, some minor damage happned to my front bumber, looks like is was rubbed with another car. Some paint is missing and some small knicks. I havnt ever had to use my insurance for anything, but now that I have a BMW, it seems like every day something happens to the car. Has anyone made a claim on there car that has minor damage. Can the insurance company deny me to fix the car, because its so minor??? And if anyone has expierence with Geico??

Or am i just better of paying $250.00 to have the bodyship paint the front bumper...?

just pay the $250... comprehensive doesn't affect your premium, but it's just not worth the hassle to deal with insurance.

I have a $1000 deductible for this reason. If it cost up to $1000 to fix it I would rather pay for it then deal with insurance and possible rate hikes. Also by going to $1000 deductible my insurance went down about 200 per year. So in 3 years I have already saved enough money to cove the difference between the $500 and $1000 deductible.

bumper will be right at $300. hood will require a bit a blending if you want perfection so probably around $800. if you just want it painted and don't care about blending it'll be about $500.
