Unexplained tyre pressure loss

I always make a point of checking my pressures, I don't use the car that often so sometimes it's weeks between checks and for the most part they are as they should be maybe 1psi out...apart from my n/s front which regularly needs topping up - I inflate fronts to 2.5 bar but it often find it's way down to 2.35 with alarming accuracy.

Yesterday I went to the footy so topped them all up and all was fine until my return journey back up the M6 which is littered with some shallow and not so shallow potholes. I got the dreaded bong and was able to pull over right away and the offending tyre was the usual, down to 2.35, now given the other was running 2.9 at heat/speed it was a bit of a bigger drop. Topped up with portable compressor and completed the final hour with no drama. Checked it this morning...2.35

So I took to the only place open, Kwik Fit (I know) who took it off and we both inspected for nails/cracks but found nothing. Tried the water trick all over it on both sides and no bubble in sight so decided to take tyre off, clean up seal and put back on with a new valve. It also balanced with relative ease...

The proof will be in the pudding but as I wait for a day or two tp re-measure I wondered if anyone else had come across similar losses with such a regular and specific loss?

Stretched? Through over inflation or just bad tyres?

I reckon it might be a dodgy valve. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

You say you've had Kwik Shit replace the valve. See how it goes!

I had a similar problem with a 130i did the same had the tyre removed checked then checked the wheel for cracks. It was a Goodyear tyre so decent enough never really did get to the bottom of it I think it was a temperature thing to be honest seemed to do it when it was below freezing or if it snowed bit strange I know but that is when it happened. It stopped when I had some new new tyres fitted
