BMW M Performance Alcantara Steering Wheel

Found this M Performance Steering wheel online tonight for $745 shipped or local area pickup, new in the box with Carbon wheel trim. What do you think, good buy?

$935 MSRP, so looks like a good deal.

Yes good deal, but maybe cheaper to be done at port. Think swapping airbags etc is a hassle. So if you're paying labor might be a wash. That said if you're too late to do at port yes your price plus labor is obvs less than MSRP plus labor so nice find.

I have swapped my steering wheel on my E92 a couple of times, not too hard. Takes about 10-15 minutes. The only tough part is releasing the airbag clips from under/behind the steering wheel. Everything else is fairly easy swap off/on to new wheel. They have the electronic version also for $1396 delivered, but that is tough sell given it's another $650 for some nice lights and info display

Sweet deal then. I'd be afraid to do it myself personally but that's just because I don't know what I'm doing and don't need to take an exploding airbag to the face.

Removing airbags from modern cars is not much of a worry anymore. Just remove all power to the system (battery disconnect and ensure power is removed); good to hit the brakes a few times and wait 20 minute to be sure. I'm now second guessing my self on the wheel. Really want to hold out for a flat bottom version.

Flat bottom is where it's at for sure. What do you think the chances are they'll make one?
