The current 6 series, im after some info
does anyone know if it came out on a 53 plate? im sure i have seen some but not 100%, none on autotrader all 04 and newer same with Piston heads etc i found this too with the porsche cayenne turbo, i read they came out 2002 but can only find 03 models and newer (03 meaning march 03 and cant find and 02/52 examples?)
i read they came out in 2003?? any info mucho appreciated? Carlos

Carl, according to Parker's Guide 04 is the earliest plate available.

If they were out on a 53 plate is was very late as the E60 only came out in September 2003 and the 6 obviously followed some months later.
I remember as our sales director picked up one of the first E60s just after I got my E46 in Sept '03.

Found an old telegrpah article indicating that it went on sale in March 2004 here.

They'd have been registered so they could get them out for test drives, but they wouldn't have been on sale before March '04 and so on an 04 plate.
All supposition, but it sounds plausible to me.

I found a website yesterday which listed the original list price and all options, when the options were available and how much they were, for the life of me i now cant find it... ARGH
