Performance Spoiler - What to use?

Just got my performance spoiler from SSDD and it didn't come with anything to attach it to my boot lid. Do people use 3m tape or betalink?

Clean the surface area well, make sure it's dry and use 3m tape. I've had it on for 6 months and it's not moved one bit! All in the prep

depends really, 3M tape will work but I'm going to use the adhesive from bmw to put mine on, i would rather not see my £363 spoiler bump down the road behind me :P or someone close the boot lid using it and it falling off and hitting the floor

That betalink can get real messy and be a pain to remove if you ever need to

Would you not get an annoying gap along the bottom? I hate things not perfect as it should be if factory fitted

just bear in mind that with tape it can be easily removed with a length of fishing line

Just been to a bodyshop (I was passing and thought, why not ask) and asked about fitting the spoiler.
They use the same stuff as use to bond car windscreens and advised me not to use tape under any circumstances as it won't hold.
However, you guys seem to not have any problems with the tape.

thats kind of the stuff bmw stick them on with, once on its on and if you get it wrong well it gets messy, but I'm still tempted to get mine glued on as i dont see myself wanting to remove it now, easy few quid for someone to pull it off and sell

It wont be easy to pull off and nick trust me. Theyll have to fishing line it of or theyll snap it in the process. Dont glue it for christ sake. The standard m3 spoiler on an e92 is held on with 3m tape from factory. It clearly works or else bmw wouldnt use it.

how come bmw only recommends glueing this 1 on rather than giving you 3m tape? its says only to be used in conjunction with Adhesive set 1K
