Update: M3/M4 allocations are in

OK guys, here is the deal. I spoke to a dealer in my area yesterday, and he tells me the following

-3 allocations he knows of
-3rd allocation is open
-build date on the 3rd allocation of week 19, or may 4
-he feels like production dates may be slipping, though isn't sure
-6-8 weeks from build to delivery

Now, from what I understand from this website, there is no way he should be able to know the build week yet..? Basically, I am going down there after work to see this on the screen in person, and want to know what to look for to make sure this is legit. And any other potential advice. I have no experience pre-ordering any car, so any feedback or other questions that I can ask that may help some of you would be helpful.

As of yesterday David checked the system for the whole country and there has been no allocation handed out to anyone besides the launch cars (april allocations). However we are expecting to receive allocations any time now for May. usually get allocation info within the first 5 days of the month

so you think that this is BS?

I wonder why he told me that he knew the exact week if he didn't?

I plan on going to look at the screen he is looking at to see for myself. what should I look for?

^^I am not sure where he would be getting that info from maybe they received 3 allocation for April instead of 2? but then again I believe all the launch cars are in 112 status so they wouldn't be modifiable anyways.

Now keep in mind when I asked David regarding the allocation it was at 11am our time. The allocation may have come out shortly after this so don't sell him up the river just yet. All I can say is as of yesterday 11am David looked and there was no allocation info out yet from BMW. Should have that info any day though which will be nice bc we can start to gauge a rough idea of how many we will get each month

so if I look at the screen, and there is some sort of pre-build date or estimated build date that is legit, what sort of order code number should I look for?

that would be really helpful, thank you. I will definitely use this info to help everyone else out in reporting back what I find out. I don't plan to go until 430 central time, so plenty of time

I just checked mine this morning and we got one allocation of each for May. They flipped from the Order Bank over to 111 status. Our launch cars are 112.

just confirmed with David we got our allocations and unfortunately its only one of each per month bummer was hoping for a lot more.

so yes dealers have allocations now

kind of jealous..was speaking to my dealer, and he only has june production allocations. None for May..=(.
