Saw these on blowout clearance at ECS for $20 each...I don't need to replace my rear calipers any time soon but I thought for the price, why the hell not scoop them up for some time down the line if they're worth it.

Just wondering if anyone ever heard of or used Original Equipment Supplier (the brand these are) and if they are any good and can be trusted. Being that they are brakes and all, I wouldn't want to get something that isn't safe.

Yeah dude!!! That's what I'm saying...They want $29 to ship it but still under ~$70 to get both to my door...

I was trying to chat with ECS but their website chat seems to be broken...at least with Safari and Chrome. You enter your car type and hit start chat and it just refreshes the chat window and doesn't let you talk to anyone.

Don't all you guys go buying them w/o giving me an answer first

Pretty sure 'Original Equipment Supplier' is not the name of the actual manufacturer - it just denotes that they are made by the company that actually supplies the parts to BMW, which are then re-branded as BMW - ECS just doesn't want to list the actual name of the supplier.

Anytime you can get BMW parts from actual original supplier to BMW BEFORE they stick it in a box with 'BMW' on it, & the accompanying up-charge - you're better off...

Yeah, if they would fit my car. I've been wanting to refinish my calipers for awhile now but they have so much surface corrosion on them that I'd much rather spend $20 to replace each of then vs. spending multiple hours getting my current ones clean enough to paint.

Pulled the trigger.

ECS told me they are BMW Genuine via email. No reason not to just buy them for that price.

It clearly says original equipment supplier. When you see that on ECS that means BMW gets it from the same manufacturer as BMW just at a discount which is passed on to you (like TRW M3 suspension arms $200 cheaper than buying the official OEM TRW M3 suspension arms).
