Best site to look at is contracthireandleasing.
GAP insurance would be important.
Your insurance may go up slightly because you won't be classified as the legal owner of the car. Some insurance companies do not insure lease cars so you may also need to shop around a bit!

The manufacturers leases will be the best deal as these are subsidized by the car company.

Out of interest why keep the E93 and get a lease car as well?

I cant offer any assistance as i havent done it before, i'm effectivly leasing my car buying it on BMW's select finance where you give the car back at the end of the agreement, but i've seen that G2L are one of the best leasing companies about.

I found going through one of the little lease brokers A LOT cheaper then going direct to Mercedes EVEN THOUGH Mercedes will tell you otherwise!!

My experience was walked into Mercedes told them exactly what i wanted and how much i wanted to pay and how much another company is offering it for they came back with put £4k down and pay £400 a month. Other company (selectcontracts) had the exact same car (comes straight from Mercedes manchester selectcontracts are just a middle man) for £360 a month and put down £2.2k so hmmmm I think this deal IS BETTER then yours Mercedes dealership!!! LOL

Basically shop around! Also the prices go up and down vastly each month!! The car I was after (e220 CDI AMG SPORT 2D COUPE AUTO) was at £400+VAT for months then suddenly got slashed to £300+vat this is when I jumped on it! Luckily selectcontracts kept track of it for me and phoned me when the prices got slashed which was useful!

Totally agree with the above, always go to a broker, main dealers are greedy robbing b*****s!

Just took delivery of a Mercedes A250 AMG Engineered by AMG, dealer wanted £455 plus vat a month, same car from broker, £338 plus vat a month. Profiles exactly the same, 3 plus 35, no doc fees and rfl's for the duration of the contract.

Here's the kicker, contract is with MB Finance!

I was looking at mad-sheep as well but selectcontacts say its just a few dudes in there house lol? Im sure they are ok though! I can definitely vouch for selectcontacts though, great price and the EXACT car I wanted! ask for Russell Vaughton VERY helpful!

I know when you go direct to dealer you get little extras. And they can swallow certain things at your request. For example audi often throw in gap insurance for the length of the lease (in my experience) also if you get a car from stock if you have a good dealer they will retro fit a couple options free of charge. Plus its easier to give back to them if you wish to end early.

Also i would choose the e class over the a5 if you want driver involvement and tech.

Mercedes sure as fuk will not throw in any extras or the £700 pound gap insurance. They even wanted me to pay for 3 years not 2 and give me a refund at the end!!! (Although im speaking from my experience at one dealership / sales women)

Oh and definitely go for the E class couple but make sure its the AMG Sport its a beautiful car and i absolutely love it!! Very different to the BMW but the whole command system is YEARS behind the 2011+ Idrive system quite disappointed with it really BMW really does blow Mercedes out of the water when it comes to incar entertainment. But the car Mercedes parking it self makes up for this and I love the LED headlights

leasing,
ok, interest, (keep in mind when you lease you only pay interest on the lease amount and not the entire vehicle).
endo of lease value, no one is looking into that but it is important, you can calculate if you are overpaying the vehicle or if dealer is lying to you that this car will keep its value lol
pay out amount / purchase at the end of the lease, get that exact number or you will be hit with damage fees, kilometres fees and drop of fees, anything they can shock you with, always ask for the end of the deal after taxes and damages to the vehicle, they do offer drop off and walk deals but not sure if it worth it Good luck on your engagement

Mercedes will send through A LOT of paper work and it includes all the above information in quite a bit of detail lol. They also give you a little plastic tool with various sized holes and ruler markings to see if dents and scratches are acceptable or if you need to pay for repair lol.

Mercedes is 10p+vat a mile if you go over the mileage.

Mmm... leasing v loan & owning... I did some maths on this one and for me dishing out say £6k ish over a couple of years or so then having nothing 'V' 6k loan and having a car worth x at the end, the leasing deal doesn't stack up, even with potential repair / risk in mind.

Leasing only really makes sense IF you always want to drive a brand new car AND you get bored of cars quickly and want to swap them every 2 -3 years.

If you dont care about age / want to keep for a whole leasing is a NO NO plus you cant do many miles!

Im looking into this at the moment. Working on the figures:

I can get a 125d M Sport with 10k allowance for £283pm + 6. So over 2yrs that works out at £1698 deposit + £6792. TOTAL = £8490.

Im weighing up the option against taking out a loan on a second hand one....and to me I thought the above deal was good. But now I wonder that in two years time, the loan would be a better investment.

I looked into a 125d. I dont know about you but i'd rather get a loan for 9 grand, and have a car after 2 years (for example a 330d saloon e90 2008 model) which will still be worth 5-6 grand, rather than a big fat lump of fuck all!

BMW 640d's are looking like good deals at the moment...

How about £414 per month inc vat (£345 ex vat) on a 9+23, 10,000pa...
