pre lci 335d vs lci 335d

Do these actually exist and what are the differences (power styling Mpg?) ?

I presume lci from a certain build date?
Cheers

Im pretty sure the LCI 335d has the same engine and tune as the pre-lci 335d and the only thing that changed was the styling?

Is it the same difference as the E60's? Pre LCI = 272bhp and LCI = 286bhp?

But the LCI engine in the E60 appeared in 2007 but the E90 LCI didn't appear until 2009, am I right!

both had the same outputs but some tinkering with the lci gave another 3mpg and lower emissions. had a pre now have an lci, have changed the exhaust and removed the resonator box and the new car feels a lot sharper and more responsive than the pre also tax is lower

What dates are these 335d's LCI.

What differnces are there acerboo?

And what did you actually remove? my car is at stage 2 remap and DPF delete i heard exhaust system changes yields no power increase.

My sits at 34.4 primarily country roads.

The 335d LCI is the same as any other E92 LCI, meaning 10 plate

Mine is June '10 ...

After you've done DPF delete and a remap I'd suggest larger IC, gearbox software update, Quaife LSD and proper tyres are the next mods rather than looking for all out more power.

Meth is the next logical step for power though.

Another customer of my remap guys has a 335d running well over 400bhp. I personally am too fearful for the gearbox ...

Also, , AFAIK (very early 06 cars MAY differ .. )all 335d's were always 286bhp. We never got the 303bhp engine that the X/Fx cars got and also never had the older x35 lump from the E60. That was phased

Also an lci 335d is waaaay better on fuel. Had both 535d's and my lci's tax was lower and it hit in the 30's town driving wheras the pre lci never got over 25mpg around town. Im sure it was efficiant dynamics.

I'm not aware of any difference in fuel between the two 335d's... But...

Not sure what comparing to the 535d does either it never shared the engine as I mentioned (again, excluding very possibly an early 06 model I'm not sure of ...)

The engines and outputs are the same from pre-lci to lci
Both are 286bhp 436 lbs/ft
The gearbox is the mk2 version of the hp26 - it has 1/2 the shifting times, better response times and this is where the extra mpg comes from, as it is slightly more efficient

The lights, front and rear are different, the rears are led, the fronts have led angel eyes
The front lights also have the teardrop in the outer corners

The wheels are different - they moved to. New design to combat the ever popular cracking issue

There is little point in comparing lci differences and comparisons across the model range - they all get spec'd differently at different times - it's redundant.

I have the dpf on the mk2 gearbox, if any one would like it I'll post it once I get on my macbook rather than my iPad ?

Hope this clears any confusion ?!

Not quite correct. But very close

The 313M alloys were an option on the LCI E92 M Sport, with the standard 19" Cracking 295s still standard. Then the "high line" package came out which included prof nav, the alloys, and hi fi speakers, for just £1000 or so. Naturally everyone specced this so it was quite rare to see an LCI E92 M sport without the high line pack and therefore the 313Ms, but it could happen.

I'm not sure if in years later than 2010 they eventually became standard but certainly LCI doesn't equal 313M alloys ...

535d from 07 on shared same engine as 335d. Prior to that it had a slightly lower power version of the M57 which likely had worse emissions and a lot of other things. This is the time when the new co2 tax came in for road tax and everyone scrambled to lower co2 ratings and increase mpg.

All the new ones (Fxx) are an 'N' engine I assume?

Ah thanks do they remap etc to the figures.

I'm getting the above mentioned Mpg which I take it is good for these cars, it is at stage 2. Does a wagner IC improve Mpg, anyone seen any power figures.
