How to enable fog lights with high beams?

Had this on my E46 and I loved it. Also useful for those with HID fogs so they don't turn on/off when flashing high beams.

What module/ECU and code changes do I need to make for this?

Thanks!

FRM, can't remember the exact code. But, if you use NCS Expert, just click on show values and translate, then, do a search for "fog light". Make sure to click on te radio button that includes any part of the text string.

FL_UND_NSW_NICHT_GLEICHZ-Allows fog lights to stay on when the high beams are on. Change to nicht_aktiv

Don't forget to also change the line of code for 'Fogs ON with Hi Beam Flash'

Otherwise, if you simply flash your hi's with the stalk, the fogs will go out...

So you will need to change:

Module:
NFRM
Action:
Fog Lights + Hi Beam Flash
Code:
LH_UND_NSW_NICHT_GLEICHZ
change aktiv to nicht_aktiv
Description:
Allows Fogs to remain ON when Hi Beams are flashed

Module:
NFRM
Action:
Fog Lights + Hi Beams
Code:
FL_UND_NSW_NICHT_GLEICHZ
change aktiv to nicht_aktiv
Description:
Allows Fogs to remain ON when Hi Beams are ON

These are both a definite 'must' when using HID fogs - drastically saves were/tear on the Ballasts/Bulbs

Yup, I made both changes successfully as I searched up some results on this forum

And that's precisely why I wanted to code them: in case I get HID fogs down the road.

I did this; worked perfectly after I finally updated all my DATEN files. Thanks! Fog light's stay on now and I can see better on dreadful rainy nights.
