228i lease deals

Seems like most on here are ordering the m235i. Can any of you guys post your lease deal for the 228i? Im going to go drive them both but on paper I cant justify the 235i (and im coming from a 135i)

5.6% off MSRP
.0013 MF

The residual on 10,000 miles is 63%. So you can use a lease calculator to figure out your own payments which will significantly vary based on your cap cost reduction, taxes, and fees. Don't forget to add acquisition, DMVs, and doc fee.

Thanks for the RV and MF, im aware of the variables. What im really asking is how much of a discount people got off MSRP. 5.6% is pretty good. 7% would be titties

I'm sure you're aware of the variables, but on a lease the MF will totally eat up any savings you may have bargained for in the purchase price. People have been getting quoted .0017 all day every day on this board - just look around. So make sure you're prepared for a bullshit lease quote based on a bogus MF

confirm everything written on this. from my experience, dealers quoting the .0013 wouldn't get the sales price under 4% while I was able to get 6% with the .0017. I ran the math and it's basically a wash.

Keep at it. You can definitely do better than that. The key is not to discuss financing numbers first. Only discuss the lowest possible price then when you bring up the numbers insist on the .0013. It's definitely possible as plenty of us on here have gotten that. It just takes some persistence, patience and shopping around everywhere.

thanks again to you for the great advice. sadly, I got to a point in my negotiations where we were 20 bucks apart, and I needed to get my order into production as I start needing a car to commute to work in 2 months. if I had more time on my side, would have shotguned the deal to every dealer in the tri-state area.

I think I also got a bit effed on one of the fees for online custom orders. anyone else have to pay an "online systems filing fee"?

almost embarrassed that I may have taken it in the shorts on that one and missed it, as it was 900 bucks and I was just ready to pull the trigger on the car.

online systems filing fee? for 900? ugh, that's a first! such a thing does not exist. 900 for 5 minutes of changing their order to your specs.

I usually start by emailing all dealers in the area then narrow it down to a few and work from there.

you'll enjoy the car anyway. congrats!

figured it out - was the acquisition fee. also was a processing fee of 499.

I'm guessing that you have found much lower or nonexistent fees?? 😳

That's normal... $725 acquisition and ~$500 docs.

Phew. Thanks brother. So much focus on MF and sales price that I was exhausted by the time we got to fees.

Docs was about 200 for me. I could have fought that but figured at 200 wasn't worth the hassle.

Was your acquisition fee 900? If so, then that was marked up a little as it should have been 725. Some dealers mark that up to an allowed max of 925.

I am not leasing but have a question. Does 'acquisition fee' apply to just leasing? I just want to make sure that you are not referring to destination charge because my destination charge is also the $925 you have been saying is negotiable. I assume acquisition fee and destination charge are entirely different. Is that correct?

The destination is not negotiable. it is part of the MSRP (suggested sale price+destination), which is negotiable.

Lease acquisition fee is part of leasing.
