TIMP7748's E90 LCI Build Thread - UPDATE 7: THE FINAL UPDATE
Hi all
I've had my 330d LCI M Sport for nearly 2 months now after trading in my 320d M sport which I remapped to 234bhp. I had a couple of bits I was able to transfer over from my 320d like my M3 spoiler and painted splitters. I didn't waste much time in tinkering... Then came the debadging... And the splitters... After I fitted my 'old' parts, I couldn't resist getting it remapped. Took it to the guys at Celtic Tuning, who did my 320d and a few cars before and had it remapped to 336bhp. I probably don't need to say this thing is rapid, but also very economical still. The opportunity then came to buy a set of 313 wheels (that needed a serious refurb). My aim was to refurb them as a weekend project and see how I got on. I'm really pleased with the results. All polished up and ready to fit.... The next step was LED Angel Eye bulbs from Zain @ Horizon. Top service, and a great product. I managed to find a brand new M Performance bumper on ebay for good price. Had my mate spray it up for me at his bodyshop but had to wait for the grilles to come from Germany through BMW. In the meantime, I went about spicing the back up with a painted Performance spoiler. I also got carbon splitters for my new bumper. I wanted a carbon piece in the spoiler to balance it out with the carbon I was going to have on the front so I wrapped the centre section of the spoiler before fitting. Here are the splitters... The next stage for me was to tidy my calipers up. I went for yellow with some added detail... Then the day (or night in my case) came to fit the bumper... And here we are as it stands today... Sorry for the amount of pics. I hope you have enjoyed my journey so far with this fantastic car. Last edited by timp7748; 12-16-2014 at 06:58 AM.. |

Looks beautiful you should be very proud of what you've achieved especially with the wheels! Are they genuine? I personally would have left the front bumper as it is a handsome one as it stood but every credit for sticking with the performance theme

Thanks for the comments guys.
Jamie, the wheels are reps mate. Good quality ones though. I did like my M sport bumper with the splitters but I was looking for something a bit different. Littlejohno, the clearance is good. I am still running stock M sport suspension so I'm not expecting too many issues. I haven't modded it performance wise other than the remap. I had it out with an AC Schnitzer E46 M3 last week and without going into specifics.... lets just say I left the scene in front (just) and very impressed with the diesel. |

Cheers mate. The next stage is adding a bit of flair to the interior. I'm thinking of going for a carbon trim set with yellow piping; try to carry the exterior theme over to the interior.

Update: I've got this idea for my interior of either wrapping or skinning my interior trim in carbon and adding a colour piping strip to break it up.
I have done a very quick trial tonight and was after some feedback. Silver hex cube or this.... |

I really like that interior, I do like the piping a few people have started adding to the trim. Would look good if you got a performance steering wheel as well with the yellow marker at 12 O'clock
Just curious, where did you find that piping in the UK? |

I will give it a go tomorrow. The first attempt was only a quick test to get an idea. I will be stripping it off and doing it again if I like it. Will upload a photo once I have done it.
