Dinan or Eibach
I have a e90 with sports suspension. I am going to buy some 19''s and I want to drop it a bit so it makes the 19''s look a bit larger and make the car look more agressive at the same time. The two spring sets I have found are the Dinan set and the Eibach set. The Dinan set is $460 and drops the car 3/8'' in the front and 1/2'' in the back. The Eibach set is $226 and drops the car 1.2'' in the front and 1'' in the back.
Dinans numbers are based on a car with sports suspension and Eibachs numbers are baised on stock suspension, so I think it levels the playing field. Or does it? Conserding they are just springs I cant see why to spend double the money to by the Dinan set. Is there a upside that im not conserding with the Dinan Set? Which set should I get? Should I buy the camber plates? Are there any other sets that are better that I have not listed? I just want to drop it a bit so I dont have to worrie about speedbumps ect. Any info would be helpful guys. THANKS |

Well then should I just go with the Dinan Stage 1 suspension kit for $1400? It comes with the springs, 2 struts, and two shocks for the rear. Is that a good deal? Or is that over priced? Its all Koni struts and shocks.

Seems as though more people choose the KW's or the Bilsteins over the Dinan stuff.

See the main problem that I have with Dinan is that their stuff are overpriced (WAY overpriced actually). I think if you have a budget concern, I would say the best choice would be Eibach with FSD combo (comes it about 900 dollars). However, the drop is not significant, but I hear a lotta good words about those (ride quality etc...). If you want something more aggressive, then KW, Bilsteins (their newest ones are hot, pm DTMhunter I think he is running a GB on these) and Tein all offer awesome coilovers. As far as Dinan, I would not bother messing with them.... just my .2 cent.

Try JLeviSW, they are here in Cali. The Dinan set up uses Koni, but not the FSD. I believe they are the adjustable Koni's. But You can't go wrong with the FSD/Eibach combo.
