Absolute unbelievable idiocy. It's unfortunate that being able to post your stupidity on You Tube seems to encourage this type of glory seeking lunacy.

I'm assuming the black car was the Audi then. Didn't know how fast they were going, but it seemed a bit bouncy, certainly not stuck to the road.

What bothers me is that those gits can come over here as well now.

nice road...

Shame about the aggressive "Forcing" through traffic, not needed.

And their brakes must be fried, way too heavy on the braking !

You wouldn't say that was a case of 'Willy Wonka' calling the 'Oompa Loompas' unfashionable, would it, James?

Reminds me of a race I got into with brand new (at the time) WS8 through the Santa Cruz mountains in my supra about 10 years ago! It was stupid and I will never do anything like that again... I was just thinking as I was watching this video: is someone going to die? It's funny how, when you're young, you have a fast car and think you and your car are so fast no one can beat you so you take any sort of challenges that presents itself to you.

Too bad youth is wasted on the young ...

Now that's undertaking at its worst and completely inappropriate speed for the road with those traffic conditions.

I like the Audi driver's interpretation of "safe braking distance". i.e. he doesn't feel you need any.

Viv, hustling the sheikh through the twisty lanes when I can't see further than the end of my nose is one thing, even brake mad me could manage to be smoother on that Brazilian road, but I do think the speeds were deceptively high, so maybe more needed I dunno !

There's driving quickly and driving without any regard for other road users or your own mortality.

These guys were driving in a manner that could have caused a fatal accident at any moment. It's one thing to drive quickly on empty roads, but completely another to drive your car to within a few percent of it's or your capability with a reasonable amount of traffic about, let alone pedestrians, cyclists and people emerging from junctions. It then just gets worse as they force their way through traffic, a number of times you see someone about to manoeuver directly into their path and they would have been powerless to avoid an accident if the other guy hadn't seen them at the last minute. Then the truck at teh end looks like it's trying to slow them... what if he'd really tried?

Looks like a nice road that you could travel quickly without resorting to the muppet like behaviour.

They didn`t seem to be going rediculously fast and nobody using the road had any lane discipline. That Audi was all over the place `tho.

Have a look at this video for some heavier traffic action. 1 min 12 secs is a bit close.

Yes Mike that was tight, i remember seeing this video around 4-5 years ago. Pretty close lol. Can someone confirm if the camera car is an m5? looks like an m3?

cant see a Audi estate with 380bhp pulling away like that from the supposed m5 which is a saloon with 400bhp, unless the audi was tweaked or infact the camera car is a 340bhp m3 and not m5.

That interior`s an E39. I wouldn`t call that racing `tho, they`re just hacking through traffic. Remember the E39 is a big car and in a straight drag, very slightly slower than the E46 M3.

I know, i had a tear up with one once and stayed with him

I would have thought the E39 M5 would have been quicker than the rs4 which has less horsie ~(that particular older model) and sapping 4wd and heavier?!

It will be but you can`t see it in a video like that, they`re just playing about and which ever car is pulling away is doing so because its being driven crazier not because its quicker.

As for keeping up with the M5 Carlos, find one being driven properly and you wont (without a remap) I can assure you.
