Car modifications logbook diary / how many miles tyres last?
Hi, do any of you keep a notebook (or electronically) of things such as date, mileage, garage / dealer and thing changed with price? For easy reference? :-)
Also how many miles do your fronts and rears last before reaching say 3mm of tread typically please? How you drive, where you drive, tyre pressures at recommended level, correct wheel alignment and perhaps E9x model, LCI or not will have a bearing on the mileage I guess? Thank you. |

Under 10k for the rears and about 20k for the fronts.
Traction control fully off. Gone through 2 sets of rfts. and 1 set of normal tyres. |

i had michelin pilot supersports put on since 2013 january.
lowered on eibach pro springs and had alightment done with 0 degree camber(m3 setting). uses nitrogen and 36psi front and 38 at the rear. rears still have good 4mm left on even wear( bear in mind michelins has i think 6mm thread when new?) done about 16k miles , 1 trackday , i drive very aggressive. edit - my tyres were fitted on 56k miles and now cluster is 78k |
