you can transfer songs from a usb stick to the car's media hardisk drive via the usb plug.
your navigation will be called CIC pro idrive, worth to try and get the salesman to update the road map to the latest version as part of the deal. no sure about the combox |

If you have usb in armrest you should have combox. You should also have Bluetooth streaming as an option too in iDrive if you have enhanced Bluetooth. You can also do things like read txt messages via iDrive with this. USB in armrest will let you stream music straight from it, otherwise you can import via the glovebox USB to the CIC hard drive. It will have just over 12GB storage.
Somebody mentioned updating maps, if you can't get them done, it's about 20 quid for an activation code on ebay and you can grab the maps off a Torrent somewhere on this forum. Put them on a flash drive into the glovebox usb, enter your activation code and it's all good. That's how I did mine as my car had 2010 maps. Can't help you with the 335i itself or DCT as mines a 330d. Hope this helps anyway. |

Go into Nav, then press option and it should have Navigation System Version at the bottom of the list. If you go into that it will say something like Europe 2014 Premium 1.
If yours still has 2010 maps like mine did, you will probably only have 4 digit postcode input. Updating to 2014-1 gave me 7 digit input which is much better. |
