Jb4 help

So I attempted to install my jb4 today. Didn't go well at all. Got service engine soon and Check engine lights right away. Couldn't solve the problem. Emailed burger tuning and called **********s but was unable to solve the issue. Car is back to stock now. Is anyone relatively close to the Hagerstown md area that is able to help me install it this week?

I'm about an hour and 45 minutes away or I would help. What are you having problems with? I just did mine a few days ago and didn't run into any issues.

When I installed it it went fine. no problems. However upon starting and driving it the car went into limp mode. I just ordered new plugs. So I may have to wait until next weekend to try once I get those in.

If you leave it on stock mode I wouldn't think it would be any more taxing on your spark plugs. It sounds like something wasn't hooked up right.

Did you make sure to plug the connectors in properly? They can be plugged in upside down easily. There is a little flat slot on one edge of the connector. These slots need to be lined up when plugged in together.

I would check that on all of them. If that doesn't work, take another look at your power connection to make sure that is in all the way (and in the right slot, i want to say slot #2 by memory, they're labeled).

Also, check to make sure that the harness is securely connected to the actual jb4 box after everything else is hooked up.

Everything was hooked up right. And it def had power bc I was able to use the dash controls. For some reason it would not go out of limp mode.

Garage List
Open the case and check the board to ensure its correct board. I'm sure this doesn't happen often but it happened to me. I had the same issue as you, connected everything, triple checked connections, car was limp mode, had to uninstall. I just happened to open the case and look at the board and discovered I was sent an N54 board accidentally (case was marked N55). Burger was cool and sent new board but after that experience I put that mod off for awhile.

If you still need help, I can help out, but looking at the maps, you're a bit far away for me... haha
I'd be down to meet you halfway (coming from DC), so somewhere around Columbia/EC area?
