Input on ride quality for Tein springs?
I am considering putting Tein springs on my 07' 335i to get rid of a small amount of wheel gap i have. A buddy of mine has a Mitsubishi Evo and put Tein springs on his factory struts and said his ride quality is great, no bouncing at all. Another buddy has Tein springs on his 10' Lexus GS and said the same thing.
The absolute last thing i want is bounce on my ride. My good friend has KW V3's on his 335i and i love the ride quality, but whether i want to spend $2k to obtain that is another question. Can anyone offer any input as to whether Tein springs on the factory struts would be a terrible ride? Bouncey? On my old G35 i had H&R springs and the ride quality was CRAP. Bounced like a mexican low rider and i switched to coilovers shortly after, def dont want to run into that again. I know luxury cars have better quality struts and whatnot, so im just wondering. Thanks! Chris

It isn't the spring that makes a car bounce, it is the mismatch of the spring and damper. You will bounce.

Is it possible to avoid the bounce with a specific spring rate?

I had Tein springs on my Acura TL. They rode great and pretty much maintained the same ride comfort I had before, but weren't as low as I would have liked. This was on stock dampers at 140K (no the shocks weren't blown).
Probably an apples to oranges comparison, but the Eibachs I have now on my E90 are lower than my Teins on my Acura. The ride comfort is marginally lower but the handling is much better. Stock dampers at 80K.
