Replace just bushings or whole control arm?

I need new bushings for the front and I was going to just do that but based on some research it seems some people say the ball joint at the other end of the control arm should be replaced as well, is it worth it to just do the bushings? I don't want to replace the bushings then have the ball joint go out a few months later and have to do the whole control arm.

thanks!

I think it is easier and cheaper, if i remember, to buy the control arm. It comes with the bushings already installed. If not you'd have to remove the old bushings from the control arm and then press the new ones back in

I would just do the entire arm, unless the car had low miles when the bushings went out.

I replaced the entire arm with the Meyle HD version. There is no fluid in the bushing to leak out, and like you said the new ball joint should prevent another repair when that wears out.
