Squeaky brakes at very low speeds

Hey guys, something that's been bugging me since I got the new car.. (235)... and I usually only notice this at a drive through where you're moving very slowly and then stopping again (such as in a line of cars) - the brakes squeak. I've had the car about a month and there's 1200 miles on it. I never hear this at higher speeds or with harder braking.. Just soft braking during slow start/stops. Is this normal?

I had it. It passed.

Just a factor of high performance brakes. Any car that I have had with good brakes did it. M6. Cls550. If you want it to go away fast do a 60-0 run : P

So a few hard braking sessions will get rid of it?

I had the same problem as well.

Just bed in the brakes a bit by doing some aggressive 80-20 stops.

Same thing on my 435i.... Quite embarrassing! Dealer said to bring it in, but I'm always wary of taking it in for niggles like this as they usually end up breaking more than fixing.

It's a bmw. Brake squeaks will haunt you in your sleep. I took my e90 in so many times during the warranty and they kept replacing all parts until it stopped. Then get another set of brakes later on and squeaking returns. At a certain point you will just give up! The stock brakes suck.

I reported this at ~1700 miles to my local bmw service and they said it's just a product of the humid air in the south. Huh? Crazy, but I've gone through a couple hard breaking sessions and it's less apparent now, although it does still happen.

that's funny cause i get this on my 135i and i'm in the north. I believe its the rears that are squeaking on my car. If i do some hard braking like a bedding process it goes away. But the next morning its back.
This happens with race pads on my other car. But I don't think the M235i or 135i comes with race pads.
Maybe pull the pads put some quiet gel on them to help silent the low speed squeaks.

This is my 3rd bmw (2002 330ci, 2012 135i), and I never had this issue before. I'll try the bedding process...

I have some noise with the brakes too. It's not a squeaking but rather one short clonk when I press gently the pedal brake. It happens mostly when I'm maneuvering to park. I think the noise is coming when the brake pads clamp the front rotors. Do you have this noise too?

The 235 front and back are both fix caliper right?? That means no sliding pins (they always squeak if not greased)....hmmm has to be improper bed-in/break-in of the pads. You dont have enough pad material on the rotor so it squeaks at low speeds

Mine seems to have subsided... I didn't do anything special to bed the brakes.

And my Msport 228 just started doing this at 5600 miles. Seems to be cold weather related. Driving me crazy
