Protect the seats
I have two children in the back of my F11. When they use their child seats, their shoes always touches the back of the front seats.
I have found lots of products like this one: I have the sports seats and that will make the band in the middle of the seat feel really bad in the back. I found this option, it seems it is mounted top and bottom of the seat: http://www.amazon.com/BMW-Backrest-S.../dp/B002DUPEHO Anyone tried it or have any other solution? |

Hi,
I did purchase 2 BMW backseat covers with loads of pockets so that my kids can store all their stuff in it, including a bottle of water for long trips. So far it has perfectly done its job and I am pretty happy with it. Here is the address of a webshop in Germany where I ordered mine : http://www.leebmann24.de/bmw-lehnent...r-f20-f30.html It's the best bargain I found when I decided to protect my F11 seats last autumn. Go for it you won't regret it. My 2 cents. Nick |

Looks like a good solution. Problem is that the back seat leg room is very right to begin with so now sure how these would even fit.

I'm not crazy about the look of all of those pockets - looks like it has high potential for turning into a nasty rat's nest of junk.
I'd opt for the following: "Kids... keep your feet off the seats... or else." If they're too young to understand, chances are their feet on the seats are only part of the mess they'll create anyway. To some extent it comes with the territory of putting kids in your car.

A bit of an 'outside the box' kind o thought, how about keeping a roll of cheap cling film in the car? Then before the kids go in, a new layer of cling film goes on. When the kids get out, peal it off & thow it away!
Edit: just found out in the US it may be called Saran wrap |

I think that just taking off their shoes would be the quickest/cheapest/most aesthetically pleasing solution. Then again, you're in Sweden so it might be a bit chilly for your kids NOT to wear shoes!

I have two kids in cars seats and there is no easy solution if you don't want to go with these bulky seat protectors. This was actually the #1 reason why I insisted on black interior for my F10. Had the light gray leather on my previous two BMW's and it is just too difficult to keep clean. I would guess Venetian Beige is the same scenario.

Pack of baby wipes. I have two in the boot and one in the glovebox. Every time they get out, I wipe down where/when necessary.
When I valet the car, I do remember to condition the leather in order to nourish & maintain. I have cream Dakota leather. Car is still like new in spite of my 5 year old's best efforts otherwise!! |
