Can you determine Model Year from the VIN?
I took delivery of my E90 today. When I informed the auto insurance company of my VIN, they said that in their computer the data showed my car to be a 2005 model. Did anyone else have a similar experience?

how do you decipher the vin? I just got my vin# from the dealer and tried to register for owner's club but it won't let me. Do I have to wait until the car is registered at DMV before it will work? My car doesn't get to port until June 19th.

Thanks Jimmy, I took a good look and my 10th digit is a 6. I wonder why the car insurance company can't tell though?

Can anyone confirm that there is now a "P" for the plant in Leipzig ?
Also I have a "0" in the place where the model year should be..and it's a 2005 e90... Usually there should be a 5 if your images would be correct. |
