BMW performance strut bar question
I have the bmw performance strut brace wich uses the OEM black strut bars because the performance strut brace goes over these. I just got some KW clubsport and want to be able to adjust them. I will not get rid of the bmw performance brace to get M3 brace, Judy have my buddy My M3 brace lol! I want to know if I can run without the OEM black strut braces so I can adjust my coilovers. I can't see how this would hurt anything because I already have the BMW performance strut brace Wich doesn't interfere with adjustments.I may need to use spaces to take up space the black bars once provided.
Opinions?

Bad idea as the oem strut braces tie the strut towers to the firewall. Just take the time to remove when you need to adjust. The M3 strut brace really is the best bet as it also prevents the strut towers from mushrooming which could happen with stiff springs and severe impacts.

^ and I thought I spent a lot of money on my car...
Interested in reading a comparison of Ohlins R&T v. KW CS with regards to handling and ride comfort on the same car.

I got lucky on the clubsport. My buddy got s crazy deal on them and is willing to trade for my ohlins since he doesn't track. The strut bar I got for $400 in the plastic off Craigslist! Is Clubsports have 6000 miles and he got them for $1100 and they are in prefect condition. When I first got them I thought they were blown because I could push shock in and they stayed in unlike ohlins but one is progressive and one is linear lol! I have 12kg springs on ohlins and they are pretty comfy. I will like the addition of camber plates. There is a lot adjustment on the CS.

Both utilize linear rate springs which doesn't affect why one damper shaft won't extend when you compress it by hand. Hope it isn't blown; could just be the way it's currently adjusted.

I push both rears in they stay, don't extend back out unless I pull them. LTMW said it was normal?

LTMW said "Hey rob, those shocks are ment to do that. You are able to adjust rebound and dampening. These arent the traditional gas charged shocks."

Call me crazy but I am drilling a 3MM hole in black bar so I can adjust the coilovers.

Here is the response I got from KW "100% totally normal. They said these are hydronic and not gas. They are low pressure and some come back slowly and some don't come back at all. They do this to keep them quiet. KW said the clubsport are linear 400# in front and #800 progressive in rear but didn't like saying this because spring pressure changes ect with progressive.

I agree to, these are different than any coilover because they are both.
