e90 mods?
well as most of you know the e46 was one of those cars which had a ridiculous amount of mods available for it. As of now are there any mods out for the e90? Intakes? Chips? Exhausts? Suspension etc?
Ive only seen a few body kits from the usual BMW tuner suspects and wheels and some interior dress up. Anyone know of any e90 mods?

To answer your question, no doubt the same tuners (and probably more) that had mods for the E46 will all make mods for the E90. Haven't seen anything yet because most of the tuners are still just developing their aftermarket parts, but keep in mind the car has only been out for like 2-3 months so we'll see it soon. Dinan I'm sure will definitely have something out for it and I'm sure companies like Hamann, Schnitzer, etc.. will all have exhausts, suspension, intakes, chips, the works.. basically I don't think anybody should worry one bit that there won't be enough aftermarket options for this car! There are already plenty of suspension upgrades available for this car as you can see in this Aftermarket Suspension Guide posted in the wheel/tires forum. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=613 |

We have some easy ones finished and a lot of the design work under way for more. Updates at:
http://www.bimmerworld.com/projects.htm Some of course may not relate well to the German/Euro models. |

After more work, some of this will be hard to really improve. The intake design is really pretty nice. Very similar to the ETCC spec box from the E46 - picks up from the kidneys, holds a nice volume, good filter size, nice shape. I have no doubt that intakes will be sold for the car, but will they help...
Exhaust on the other hand... That thing just weighs a ton! |

Sucks about the intake.. I think a lot of aftermarket tuners will be disappointed they can't extract more from the intake. But good news on the exhaust... weight reduction is the easiest and more sure way of increasing performance. Thanks for the update James
