can i debadge a lease?
uh, may seem dumb, but i have decided i want to debadge my car when it arrives, but i was wondering if i was going to have to pay for new badges when i hand it back to the dealer. is there anyway i can reuse the same badge?
Also, if i have to buy another pair of default badges (which i think i'm going to have to), will the dealer just charge me and order/install it themselves or should i buy them ahead of time and put them on before they even bring it up. thanks in advance... |

Just take off, save them and reapply with some new 3m tape before you return.

did you not get the option to remove the model badge on the back when you ordered it? it was an option for me.
I got mine removed as I hate cleaning around them, too fiddly |

Thanks for the info Zuerst i'll do that, but i just need to know what specific 3M tape to buy. I'm quite a noob at all this and would really appreciate it if someone could link me to the exact type of tape i need to buy. Again, thanks in advance.

From what I've read in previous posts thats only an option in Europe, and unfortunately for me not the U.S. |

yeah, just take them off, an keep them with you tho. When you return the car, not even neccessary to put them on yourself. Just return the badge with the keys to the dealer.

Madman, that option isn't available here in the U.S. for our e9x's unfortunately.

Would think that other than a BMW dealer turn in, the receiver probably wouldn't even notice!
I've debadged every car I've owned, and when available I let the plate do the talking (see avatar)! |

Just be like, "yeah one of the numbers fell off on its own, so i pulled the rest off because it looked stupid" If they have a hissy fit then demand it gets warrentied before you return the car.
