UPDATED 12/13/07 - Rips335iCoupe - Up Close (Dyno, Pictures, Videos)

UPDATED 12/13/2007

I thought I would make my own thread to display my before and after pictures, videos produced, and most recent dyno results. You can find links for all the aftermarket items I have installed in my signature at the bottom.

Here are some before pictures.

The next item you will find is the most recent dyno. The first line is the base, the next one is with the Supersprint exhaust, the one following is the Turbo Tuner, and the final one is with the RPi intercooler.

Here are some videos of the Supersprint exhaust. The exhaust kit includes the connecting pipes that following the DP's, the x-pipes, and the 2 mufflers. And yes, there is NO DRONE.

Looks like the power holds all the way to redline after you added the IC?

They had 8 in stock, and they had it out to me in a couple of days. This was a few weeks ago.

looks like your turbo tuner adapted well and produced good power.

if i am reading right,
262hp and 287 ft.lb. stock
321hp and 340 ft.lb. with Turbo Tuner and SS exhaust.
if i am reading right those are great numbers for the SS exhaust and SSTT
59whp gain and 53wft lb. gain!!

331WHP and 346wftlb with the SSTT, SS exhaust and RPI intercooler.
69whp and 59wft.lb. gain with all three
The dynos were done within a few weeks of one another. Each item was added and then dynoed afterwards. The same dyno was used, and temp was right around 75 to 80 each time.

Yea, I was really surprise to get 70WHP with those 3 items .... and everyone else watching, was too!!

EvoTech has a flash for the ECU that Dynocomp put on a stock 335i, and they are trying to get me to do it also. They are thinking 360WHP if I get the flash done.

Yes, it really helps on the top end. I bet if I increased the boost a little, it would really perform.

very impressive. the Split Second turbo tuner is making some great power when adapted!!
the exhaust sounds great aswell!! is it a full system with DP's or catback?
and it does look like after about 3500rpm the FMIC makes more consistent power and for higher in the rev range.
great work

great work

The Supersprint is just from the DP's back. There are 4 pieces to that ... first are the connecting pipes (no secondary cats), then the x-pipes, then the 2 mufflers.

Sounds like a louder version of the same meatgrinder I6. You are gonna get a lot of questions about DRONE so be ready for everyone asking you does it DRONE.

I can't wait to see the wheels on though.

hey man car sounds great with that super sprint exhaust..quick question..how id it at cruising speeds on the highway do you get alot of "drone" I was contemplating this exhaust for the performance, look, sound and price however my wife and i tend to take some road trips and i don't want the annoying drone sound...i had enough of that having owned 13 mustang 5.0's all with heavy mods. I was considering doing electric exhaust cutouts to avoid the drone...stock for my road trips and dd and load as hell when it's play time.

+1 on some AFTER pics. OP, what do you think about the Eibach/FSD? I'm debating between that and H&R/Yellows.
