Looking for : Bluetooth device that I can plug into AUX
I am looking for a bluetooth device that I can plug into AUX. I would like to stream music from my phone(android) to the device and the device would be plugged into AUX. Anyone found a device to do this ?

There are many devices
There are many devices and there are already tons
of threads on this. The first of note was the blackberry gateway now even HTC makes one. Most are under 50 bucks. The best one , mostly for idrive cars is the Tune2air, as it displays tune info on the Nav. Do a search here for A2DP or bluetooth streaming and all kinds of stuff will come up. |

Try this.
http://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTC450-...nivo+bluetooth I have been using this for a while now and completely satisfied with it so far. I hide it in the center console and have no problem connecting to my Phone. For the price it does a great Job. |

The sound quality from the AUX is better than BT depending on your connection method. Using a 3.5mm to 3.5mm AUX cable there is a loss in quality but for example.. Even on an iphone the main connection at the bottom offers a balanced line out. So using a iphone 21 pin to AUX would be better or the lightening one if you have an iphone 5 upwards.
It might be worth checking if this is true for the blackberry, htc or samsung you use. If you get a cleaner signal from the main connection point instead of the 3.5mm Then you could use a BT remote to skip songs like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B008...&robot_redir=1" rel="" target="_blank">http://<a href="http://www.amazon.co...ot_redir=1</a> And a mini 12v to usb charger to keep your battery topped up. If any such Y cables exist for your make and model of phone and by Y cable I am not talking about using the phones 3.5mm out remember. As far as I know most of the new phones do not offer ATP-X (better than A2DP) but our HU's do not support this protocol anyway. The amount of money you might invest in a BT audio solution? If you can budget more then go for a retrofit or Dension or something. |

This thread caught my attention... Time flies when things are doing good, which I'm surprised it's 3 months short of a year of having my Bimmer, meaning SAT is no longer an option unless I pay SiriusXM. With that, does tune2air work with CCC?
Personally speaking, even though I'm into audio, but sound quality isn't important in this case, it's more so the convenience that matters to me; it's not like it gets dropped to 64mbps on A2DP... I'd rather have a tiny bit of degradation and be able to keep my eyes on the road, rather than having to plug my phone in and stare down at it every time I change the tracks, which here in California, cops are aching to nab you for even touching your phone and bully you into signing for a texting ticket.

I have a Galaxy S3. I simply want to be able to connect it to the device and play my music. My car has Idrive and Nav ( 07 ) but I don't have USB and don't want to spend a ton of money to do this otherwise I'll just keep using Aux.

I use the Blackberry Music Gateway connected to the AUX input.
Music quality is not that great. Bluetooth is to blame for this. But for what I use it, it works great. Now Im curious about the Tune2Air one, since I could use the steering wheel buttons to control the phone. |
