coding in Toronto?

anyone know a reasonablely priced coder to do oem alarm?
I contacted a mobile guy in markham and he wants $80 to do alarm!
im pretty sure indy shops do it for $100 tops.
anyone know of a more reasonable coder?

Price seems pretty fair to me, especially if he is coming to you. I'm pretty sure doing the alarm is much more intensive than just doing a DLR delete.

That's more than reasonable, don't know how cheap you were expecting it to be. It's not as simple as a DRL delete and takes time. Otherwise, pony up and pay the shops/dealership.

he's mobile but u have to go to him. go figure.
it takes about 20 mins from what I read.
well an indy does it for 100 with overhead and training
I'd say 80 is a rip off. why would anyone go to mobile guy to save $20.

You can't get most people to fart for less than $100 these days so I don't know what you are expecting. Go to the indy shop, or wait for a coding group buy, or sell the car and buy a honda

like i said...compared to a shop with overhead and licensing and insurance. ..a mobile guy with none of the above charging 80% of what an indy charges is outrageous.
and they're not even going to you
and yes I'd rather go to an indy as there is no upside to go to mobile guy.

Also you probably won't get anyone admitting they can do coding for cheaper on the public forums, admins will hit you with a temp ban and nerf your account.

If the $20 difference from $80 vs. $100 isn't a big deal, why are you bickering about it being roughly that same amount more than what you expected (I'm assuming you expected to pay $50? $60?)?
