Tirerack/ Pilot Super Sport..$200 less than 3 yr ago

I know I am beating a dead horse but I will go there anyway because this is a great deal...

I was reviewing my tire orders on Tirerack (god I spend a lot of money on tires haha)... but almost 3 years ago I bought a set of 235/35/19(F) 265/30/19(R). The order cost $1240.

Today I ordered a set slightly upsized in the front, 245/35/19(F) 265/30/19(R). The cost was $1050.... before the $70 rebate card.

I think many of us can agree it is a great tire for summer duty with 3-4 hpde a year at a reasonable price, but now it's even better.

Plus I am looking forward to the extra .2" tread width and .3" diam in the front for added grip, reduced stagger and slightly more cushion from the beat up roads..... I know I know I should have 18s of that is a concern, but 19" csl reps are so bling.

In addition, I have had Continental DW Extremes in between, and quite frankly, these tires don't hold a candle next to the PSS. Not a bad tire when new, but after 12,000 miles and 2 track days, they are cooked, loud and don't feel round anymore. And on the track after 15 min they get really greasy in the front if it is warm out.

# yr ago when I got the first set of PSS, I was blown away with how smooth they were on the street and how grippy on the track. I haven't had R Comps since my old WRX wagon 10 years ago, but to me they PSS felt almost as grippy as the old Kuhmo Victoracers.

Had them installed today, god I love these tires.

Had a fresh alignment too. Nothing crazy, -1.5 front, -1.7 rear camber, all other specs factory.

Car drives like new.
