Will a 35 wall rear be ok in place of a 30 wall on 19's" ?

Just changed to 19" MV4's, but the 255/30/19 rear tyres really do look like they have tiny side walls. Will a 35 wall tyre go ok as the fronts don't look to narrow even though they're a 35 wall on a 225 tyre.

Before, with 17" M-Sports.

After, with 19" MV4's.

If you aren't xdrive it will be okay but the rear will sit higher & the speedo will be off.

I dont mind that so much as its not x drive and sits quite low at the back (been caught out on a few speed bumps when loaded up). Just done a tyre size calculator and it would read 2mph quicker at 60. Its just that for some reason the tyres look ridiculously low profile on the back.

I have a 19 inch set up with 19 inch low-profile Michelin pilot super sports- staggered.

255/30 ZR19 in the rear, and 225/35 ZR19 in front.

They're same size tyres, but I can't help thinking that they look flat, despite having checked the tyre pressures.

Not sure how bad your roads are over there, but I'm sure there are tons better than here across the pond my friend.

I would definitely use caution with low profiles in any case, as they don't take road hazards too well

Get a wider tire.
People typically run a 265 or in my case a 275/30-19 in the rear.

I would not go to a 255/35-19 that is a 4% difference which is rather large. It will also look like a monster truck.

Remember that 35 profile is a ratio of the width.

You may want to just go a iwth a 265/30-19 tire instead as it will allow for better traction in the rear and it will only be .9% larger in overall diameter.

A little more meat out back would make the look more aesthetically pleasing too.
