Amazed at the number of 2014 911 S Turbo's being dumped back on the market
North Houston Porsche has about 10 of them including GT3 and then of course there are several unsold ones on dealers lots. The last few weeks has seen a huge number of Turbos come on the market but the problem is, the prices are all way too high. I have a hunch that the owners of these cars didn't buy another Porsche, for some reason they didn't like this car.
The one I looked at in Austin is sitting there asking $200k and the sales guy told me the owner thought it was too fast. Look at all the expensive cars here at Porsche of North Houston. I think there are about 10 turbos and GT cars in total. A couple of the Turbo's are 2012 models probably coming off of lease. http://www.porscheofnorthhouston.com...reowned__demo/ This is much the same thing I was seeing last year about this time when I bought my M5 and it hasn't turned out well for resale values on the M5. My well still hasn't been frac'd yet, got postponed another two weeks due to some issue with the water. I guess this will give the market time to come to me on the price. Can't imagine that all those cars are going to be easy to sell. |

Good news for me. I'll get a 991 when they hit around 120K. Thought I'd have to wait for mid '16. Maybe it will be six months earlier.

From that link there are only two 2014 991 TT's and only one S (so Im confused as to your subject title or is there another link since you said there are 10?) Anyways, maybe this dealer is a big reseller of slightly used Turbos (but based on the link I see a total of 4 Turbos overall). Dealers do like to have a comparative advantage on models. I have about 5 local P car dealers and 4 of them rarely have Turbos and then one of them has a lot. Depends on the demand, market area, and how they took in the used car(s) on trade.
The dealer in Cali called AutoGallery Porsche is the Panamera capital of the world!! LOL. They still have two new 2012 Panny TT's and tons of new 2013's. But they helped Porsche NA out with allocation so their flooring was probably waived on these units and they just wait it out. The factory and the dealer working together and this where a customer can benefit possibly.

Only 2 of those cars were 991 TT/S.
On the S $189,900 is not a bad asking price. I assume they own it for low to mid $180s. Good options on the TT-PDCC, LED, 18-Way Seats. Not really a bad price at $169,900. Buy it for low to mid $160s and it's a lot of car for the $. There really is not much of a selling range established on used 991 TT/S yet. Glad to see dealers holding the prices high. I haven't seen what I would call a"lot" of them on on the market. There's a few, but not more than usually expected on new models. As soon as Porsche gets a VIN# they are uploaded to the dealer sites. The GT3s could be cars awaiting their engine replacement and delivery. They also could be cars that dealers either took back or allowed the current owners to cancel pre-delivery as a courtesy due to the engine replacement issues.

I spent day and days searching inventories online. So long I couldn't hear the word "porsche" again for a few days.
I noticed that the major dealers in California have between 2-5. Major dealers in Atlanta have 2-5. Major north east dealers have 1-2. The smaller dealers in NE usually have none.. maybe 1 911 TTS.

These threads are so funny ...please can everyone quit comparing the 991tts to the M5 in any way as they are completely different cars in completely different price ranges and tax brackets? (you could basically have 2 m5s for 1 991tts) don't get me wrong I love Porsche and a 991 GT3 will probably be my next car but come on I mean I somewhat understand the C2S as they are the same price range and may be cross shopped by a few but still completely different cars ....I know this thread is not a comparison YET but seemed like as good a place to post as any with so many Porsche threads...good or bad ...as I have seen recently. I have owned a 928GTS and a RS America back in the day and I love Porsche but there is no comparison...Porsche there is no substitute lol
Sorry guys I am sure I will get flamed for this but just a little rant as I am tired of seeing so many vs arguments which I am sure this will turn into soon |

The owner got a $1200 ticket and it has $3k of radar gear too and the dealer wants to recoup that. I said, " and he still got the ticket?" Answer, yes he was going too fast when he got the alert and couldn't slow down soon enough.

Porsche Greenville 1 911 Turbo Porsche Hilton Head 1 911 Turbo 2 911 Turbo S 1 911 Turbo S Cab Hilton Head has a 911 in GT Silver. Very nice color for this car. The clear taillights were made for GT Silver. Most cars on the ground seem to be basalt black or white. There are some Agate Grey. Few GT Silver and ever fewer of that second special 911 gold color.

By the way, Porsche NH has 7 Turbo S models. Which is not too unusual for a premier dealer. As I said before, many dealers have none in inventory.

I dunno. The M5 is bloody fast too yet we don't hear about people getting speeding tickets every day. I think if you can afford a $200,000 Turbo S, then I'm sure you can afford a $1,200 speeding ticket. Must have got him with laser anyways. Technology can only help so much in the avoidance of a speeding ticket, I'd say 80% of avoiding a ticket is based on driver skill, situational awareness, and risk appetite. The remainingg 20% are the radar detectors, laser jammers, waze apps, and aircraft collision warning sets (for helicopters and aircraft patrolling the highway.)
