Best tire for the 335D???

What is the latest best tire for our 335D, I heard for the money Hankook v12, do they last, I have Mich Pilots now which are great, is their anything better for the money, so many reviews on paper, would like some real world performance numbers with tire life...I read tire rack but still a little vague, the best tire on there site for our cars nobody seems to be using.

PSS are definitely worth the money. I paid around $200 less for Conti DW but the performance and stickiness of the PSS is an extra $200 well spent.

As for the V12, I hear good things about them for the price but I can't imagine downgrading after having the PSS.

I Bought the hankook v12s for my former e46 m3 and the car was never the same. The sidewalls on those tires are way too soft and it never inspired the confidence you expect when throwing the car through the corners. Initial turn in was way too spongy and felt delayed.

As for the 335d, I just ordered from tirerack a set of the Conti DWs. Hoping I'm impressed when I get around to having them installed.

I suppose I went cheap but I purchased Sumitomo HTR Z IIIs from tire rack when I purchased new wheels. I changed to 235/40/18s in the front and 265/35/18s in the rear.

I have about 5k miles on them now and have no complaints. No noticeable issues with wear. No issues with noise, which I read about in some of the reviews. Sticky enough and a vast improvement over the run flats.

I took a chance since the savings was 40% over the Michelins. So far I am happy with the choice.

I run Pirelli P Zero Nero A/S's. Just bought a second set of them. They're quiet, a little soft, great grip and pretty good in the rain. I think they're underrated. Lasted 40k miles of asshole driving and highway so I'd say that's pretty good considering.

I found the same thing on my s2000 terribly soft tyre walls.

For me on finding falkens are great for the money on my D, grip well and have covered 6k so far and only half worn.

After much research I think I'm going to try the Conti extreme DW, the price is great and the reviews all are positive, even 550hp mustangs rave that they can hook them up, keep me posted would love to hear your review on the tires...

I really like my PS A/S3's. NOT for insane driving, but u wanted to see how they lasted with the 500 tread life. They work for me, have about 15000 mi on them so far.

I have Pilot super sports now and love them, but a little pricey. I don't need the best tire on the market and these are them...

I run PSS and currently sitting with 16000km on the set and no real sign of wear. 30000km should not be a problem.

thanks for that info, if I can get them at a rebate price with a promotion they really are not that much more than other tires...

I chose the Conti DWs as a compromise. Hoping for good inspiring cornering while also hoping to get a 25k to 35k miles from them. I do a fair amount of commuter miles so tire longevity is a key concern as well as performance.

Also, I was swayed by tirerack's promo rebate that with purchase of Conti tires you get 2 free nights at a Marriot.

I have had both the Ventus and PSS. The ventus were very good but the PSS can grip like hell

everyone says the ventus feel really really soft on turn in, did you feel that at all, for the price it's hard to beat them, the PSS is the benchmark...

They're fairly new but my dad rags on them because I paid so much for them and I already got a flat a few months ago and a puncture last week that was luckily patched. Tried explaining to him that the flat was because of some debris left in the entrance of a freeway ramp in the middle of night that was hard to avoid and the puncture was from a random screw left on the road. Not the fault of the tires obviously but he just chuckles and gives me the "whatever" look.

Diesel Racer the Ventus are the best for the bang (I bought them used and lasted me 1 1/2 year but could not get warranty, they dont give warrany for them here in the Island, trust me i tried to get it, only Stateside) but It will leave a 10 foot skid mark on the road if your modded. I CANT get my modded 335d with the PSS to leave at least a foot or two vice the Ventus, the PSS grip like hell thus better launches!!

I bought mines thru COSTCO their warranty is exceptional specially here in Puerto Rico!!

FWIW, I have a real distaste for the v12s I'm riding on right now. What others have said about the sidewalls is very true.

I bought a used set of rims with these on them. The two on the front were good, so I replaced the rears with like. In hindsight, I'd've been much happier changing them all out for Conti's or PSS if I could keep the latter from rubbing.

Side note: I'm running a square setup on my stockers currently with rs3s. They seem to be better, but noisy.

I'd go PSS or Conti DW if buying for the summer today.
