I took mine to 132mph because I can't go faster than that.

I can't believe that you're driving a diesel in the USA

Although I can understand how better range and lower engine noise are definitely a plus for long trips, with your gas prices I would still be driving a V8 daily (preferably supercharged).

I've pushed my D to 260kph in Germany. It still wanted to go (using a DTUK). Not sure how many real kph I was driving at. Will try again once I get the limiter removed.

But honestly,I don't care about raw speed. What I like about this car is how comfortably it can drive at 180kph, and how responsive it is at those speeds even with a full trunk and a few passengers.

I have a race car, this is my daily driver, I'll leave the superchargers and big blocks for the weekend.

I also have a "race" car, but that's beside my point.

I'm just stating that if I had your gas prices, not only would I keep my Caterham for track days and weekend fun, but I would also drive a (supercharged or not) V8 daily. And by this I mean that while I get why you enjoy your D as a daily driver, I also fully understand why there are so little diesels in the states.

Why not a Bi turbo straight 6,, I just can't believe how fast this car gets to speed, I like the JBD between 60mph and up where it really shines...

Because I'm in love with V8s I used to have an X5 4.8is as a DD, and while it was far from being a sports car I was literally drooling every time I turned on the engine. I would have kept it if I wasn't doing 40.000km/year now.

Don't get me wrong, I'm also in love with my 335d! It's the perfect DD for my current situation, I love the diesel push in the back and how relaxing it is to drive in town/highway. I considered the 335i, but seeing that I tend to have a heavy foot it would skyrocket my yearly gas budget, thanks to our insane taxes...

The 155 governor is set on both the M-sport and sport. M-sport and sport is the same exact thing, only difference is that M-sport has some cosmetic differences.

155 (160) is not redline in 6th unless you have swapped out for shorter tires.

Deserted flat highway I met the limiter. The composure of this car cruising at 120 is very nice
