help about to tackle the OFH removal, just have one question!

Tomorrow is my day off from.work and I finally decided to take on the OFH(non oil cooler) removal in order to install my custom custom oil cooler. I'm removing some things tonight in order to prepare and take a look at what I am really in store for. I noticed that the screw that seems the most accessible (besides the obvious top one), the bolt near the engine coolant block coolant hose. I'm not wanting to take out that hose, I saw in the DIY addendum that he used a small 8 mm ratcheting wrench. It seems a little tight either way. I have a small 5/16 ratcheting 12 point wrench that allows me to have a little room to try and take out that bolt. Any other ideas?

Is it necessary to remove negative terminal? Can I remove neg terminal without the car being in sleep mode.

Ok will do, thanks. Have you had to do the ofh removal yet? What strategy did you use for that bolt near the engine block coolant hose?

I took that little guy out with a 12 point regular little 8mm wrench, it was easy and there was enough room. just make sure it's the last one you take out and the first one you put back in.

Allright will do. I was studying it again last night and thought to myself why not remove the radiator fan? I have an auto 335, there is an atf cooler there but it seems to be just one bolt. Am I right? Just one bolt on the bottom to remove atf cooler?

I did ofh with the oil cooler option and managed to work around without removing the fan. Took a little longer than usual but no biggie. Very easy fix, take it slow, and forsure remove negative terminal from battery. As someone stated above, dont want to short out anything.

Best of luck
