Interior trim. HELP!

Hey everyone, I have a 2007 335i (e90) and the interior has gotten pretty messed up. There are scratches and bumps and what not all over it and I don't know which route to go to fix it.
Should I buy a whole new trim set for the car?
Should I buy carbon fiber 3M vinyl and wrap the existing ones? (Kinda hard.. Not really looking forward to this route)
Or should I plasti dip all of the trim? This is the cheapest and easiest one, my only concern is that it will look bad..
Please help!

Don't plastidip,

Find someone to wrap the trim for you and call it a day. I think that's your best solution

Plastidip would look terrible and wear easily I would think. If you get it wrapped, the dimples on the door panels might show through. I would just replace it although that would be the most expensive route.

Dude, haha I went through the same issue as you.
What I did (don't judge) I took off the trim, sanded down the fake alum trim, added bond-oh to fill in the holes, sanded it down for smoothness, then I repainted with "aluminum" paint, and while the paint was still wet, I grabbed a rag and went across the trim to give it that same brush look. It turned out really, really great.

Wow that sounds like a great alternative. I'm really interested in doing it like this now instead of spending $400 on a whole new trim! Could you post some pics please?

I'd go for the vinyl wrap route. Don't worry, it really isn't difficult at all. The only difficult thing is wrestling with the trim to get them off.

Yeah I think thats what I am going to do. Probably sand down the trim first so it doesn't leave little craters where the dents are in the original trim. Thank you!

My car has some scratches on the door aluminum trims and I just amazoned some 3m brushed aluminum wrap to DIY the door trims alone , I'm hoping it looks similar to the center and dash trims (which are in great condition) , even if it's slightly off I may get away with it because the door trims are far away from the. If not I may have to buy new ones.

Op might I suggest using some scratch remover and some metal polish with a high quality microfiber cloth to buff out the scratches on the metal trims , you would be surprised how much you might be able to remove and the polish will really make the aluminum pop

Don't have any good before pics but I really put some time into mine

Wow I had never thought of that! My options are still open because I have no rush to this project. Probably going to grab some scratch remover and metal polish this weekend and see how many of those scratches I can get out before doing anything else.
Thank you!

Definitely no on the plasti dip.

Vinyl wrap it in carbon fiber or if you want you can get it vinyl wrap brushed aluminum as well.

Here it is.

Check it out. Looks OEM!

Sand it down, bono it, dip it in silver paint, give it a brush look.
Save $$$$

Titanium trim is such a PITA, my doors look just like that, and the center by the iDrive as well. I also heard that wrapping it would not look good if you had big chips like i do. The scratches might buff out but the chips are a another thing.
