Impact Bump Question

I brought my car in to swap a rim that had road rash with a new one and when bell tire was done swapping out the rim I looked at my tire and it had a huge bump on it that resembled an impact bump. This was not there before they swapped out my rim.. Is it possible that they could have done this while changing the tires? The wheels are about 2 months old and are proxys

It is possible that the tire machines can cause a bubble. If you are 100% sure it wasnt there before hand definitely talk to the owner of the shop.

It's possible that the tire got damaged from mounting, but from my experience, I've never seen one bubble from being mounted up. Usually the bead just gets ripped if the tire is too stiff. If you show the shop after the fact, they're probably just going to tell you that that was 100% caused by a road hazard.

i had this happen with a shop scratching my wheels. so now i take pictures of all four at the shop prior to them doing any work so it is time stamped and location based.

Toyos are a stiff tires to begin with, and they seat very tightly on the rim.
If you have put them on the original BMW rims ( designed for RFT ) then they fit even tighter , the guy that put them on ripped the beads and now it is going to be blaming game... OH NO No I did not do it ! it was like that when you brought it to the shop ...
I have seen it and heard it all, ( I own the tire store and I can tell you with almost 100% that it was ripped on dis-assembly or assembly it the store that you have been. ) Sorry to tell you that.
