i have a 228i with 385 wheels. all 4 tires are sized at 225/40 R18. however, i noticed from the bmw.com site that these come with 225/40 at the front & 245/35 at the rear. if you have the 385 wheels, are your tires the same size all the way around or are they staggered?

My style 385's are staggered 7.5" F and 8" R.

I know 385 winter wheel sets are sold as 7.5" all round

Am based in the UK.

Talk to your parts guy at your local BMW dealer. Likely to get more sense and help that way.

i looked at the sticker on the driver's door jamb and it says 225/40 R18 for all tires. i guess that's the spec for US 228i with this wheel option. would have been nice if it's staggered. although, having all 4 tires of the same size is quite practical when it's time to replace them.

With the MSport option that I have, If you pick no tire option, the standard set is staggered run flat summer. That is what my 228 has. If you have the base 228 with 18" tire option, maybe that is supplied with a "square" setup. Check the 228 BMW build site.
