Yeah, no question about it, the BMW N57 should make a great off road vehicle engine. Now, if BMW can only make a great off road vehicle for the engine.

On fifth gear a few weeks ago they did a feature with a rally Mini, which had a straight piped m57 that was incredible.

oh watching movies like this I start missing my SUV but on the other hand, 15 years of SUV driving kinda made me miss the car anyway, looks like they are doing some great job with the engine switch

Tv. I can't remember which channel, probably either NBC sports or fox sports, those are the channels that carry car that type of shows around here.

Where did they put the engine? In the back? I would be very surprised if the M57 would fit in a mini engine compartment. If they put the m57 in the rear passenger compartment, I would take the jet engine model over the diesel.

It was a clubman, which is pretty big already for a mini. Plus there were probably no original parts left, it was a Dakar rally car, probably cost $1m to build, so they made room somewhere

I am going to make a donor card for my engine. I want it sent to this place and put in a Nissan Patrol if CBU gets too bad.

Too bad we don't have the old Patrols here. Land Cruiser 80 is another option.
