Car Cover for 2 Series

I have a new M235i and want to get a good quality car cover for parking outside. I'm looking for:
-paint & body protection
-lots of sun exposure (Southern Ca)
-small enough to throw in washing machine
-durable
-designed to fit this car

I've looked on a couple of cover websites and most don't have anything for the 2 series yet & steer me towards universal covers.

Any better ideas?

Also wondering if anyone has used the BMW covet yet?

the bmw future car cover looks cool! although unless truly necessary, i would discourage you from using car covers. they introduce swirl marks to the vehicle's paint each time you use them.

How does a car cover introduce swirl marks? I have never heard of this and have used car covers for years. Never had any swirl marks. The only time i every got swirl marks was from a detailer not using a buffer correctly.

tiny particles of dust and dirt that are sitting on your paint would rub as your putting on / removing the car cover.

ok i can see scratches but not swirl marks. Also should never put a car cover on a dirty car. I always wash or wipe the car down before placing the cover on it.

I got swirl marks and scratches from a BMW car cover for my f30. But I think it was due to the fact that some snow was on the cover for a couple of days. Sad day to say the least when I took off my cover.

I have an old E46 M3 cover I pulled out of storage recently and it fits my M235 almost perfectly.

Sorry to bump an old thread but am also still looking for a cover. I really like the dark grey M one for the 1 series, but nothing new for the 2 yet...

don't use them. they scratch your car. Nothing you can do about it. dust and dirt always gets under there. and introduce wind, and it'll be a scratch fest

You know, everyone says that, I used my standard original car cover with my e90 for 7 years and NEVER had any issues with scratches. Hence the request for help
