Any problems with JB!?
There is a lot of talk about SST JB2 and PROCEDE around but not much about JB1. Other than the fact that it isn't the most powerful in the bunch is there anything else wrong with it? Is the fact that the fuel map isn't altered caused any overheating and/or valve damage. I am not necessarily planning on racing the car but I'd like to know that I can do 20 laps around lime rock with no issues.
Please advise.

FWIW I sell a lot of JB1s to guys who don't want to get caught up in the HP wars, but just want a solid 20-25rwhp gain with absolutely no hassles at all. It's a great mod and very reliable. Air/fuel ratios are stock or slightly richer.

I've had the JB2 for about 3 months now and the JB2R for about a month and have no problems! I haven't heard of anybody with problems with the JB1 either.
So, if you're thinking about getting the JB1, go for it! for the JB products!

No issues, no CELs, no stutters - granted over not that many miles. I drive aggressively, after the oil has warmed up. |

Little something we have in testing, but I don't want to make a big deal because if I don't like what I see in testing I might 86 it. I will know a lot more in 2-3 weeks. It's an add on that customer can snap in to their existing JB2 for a little more boost.

The JB2 is a great device. Drop in and forget about it. Very nice power distribution . +18% hp, +20% torque. Should be a no-brainer for all who are looking for a tune in this range.

I'm a Procede user, but must tell you from what i have heard so far on this forum, is that JB* is a great product. JB2 is safe, an man must also tell you how good this car feel with the given hp/tq, it begs you to drive it everyday, or at least mine does. And you dont need to speed to enjoy the car.
get the JB2 instead, you wont regret it. I'm telling you because this is like drugs for the rock starts, once they use it, they want more, and more, and more, and more, and more, and more, etc. +Terry support is great too, wonder if he has people in India working for him? :P

Driving the car with the JB2 is very exciting, and rewarding. Knowing I can spend an extra $10 on high octane and go to the track, and "flip the switch is also a nice exciting touch. I've been thinking, at some point, I drive my car pretty hard everyday. I think it is actually a good idea I run the JB2 in the "normal" mode 98% of the time, in the interest of preserving the engine (and tires). I can use the R mode for those other special occassions.
So I went by California Speedway Drag Strip yesterday, hoping I could sneak in a run. No such luck. But they gave me a schedule. The next street legal drags will be Saturday Jan 5th, so hopefully many of the local 335i BMWs will show up, so we can all run on the same day, conditions. It seems like these open days only come up about once a couple months or so...so try and make it there! BTW, it 5pm it was still 75F at California Speedway, so hopefully in January it will be cooler. |

I've heard no complaints or problems with any Juice Box Products. I've had my JBS2 for almost 3 months now, no CEL's and runs like a stock 335i "On Steroids" and I just installed the .5psi Hot Pill & "R" Switch today!!!
All I have to say, is Terry has the Winning Combination: 1) Great Products 2) Great Service 3) Great Prices

Do you ever plan on adding downpipes? Curious how the JB2 will perform with some high-flow catted downpipes in your acceleration runs.

AWD dyno showed +6 hp and +16 tq to the wheels. I was hoping for more, but am happy with the results. Drivability seems to be really good, but I'm not sure if it was because I didn't drive the car for a week while the dp's were being modded to fit the xi. Sound of the engine and exhaust is more visceral. I like it! Sorry for the threadjack. |
