Emissions test, NO CEL, no DPfix

So I have to do an emissions test soon and I was curious if I even need to re-install my DPfix because I don't have any CELs on my dash and I don't have auto-code clear enabled.

Thoughts?

DFfix is not used to prevent CELs; it's used for purposes of OBDII "readiness."

Don't know what type of emissions testing is done in your jurisdiction, but you may not pass if they scan your OBDII and check for readiness.

I would assume all check for readiness.
Otherwise people would just pull the negative terminal and pass.

Actually, quite a few jurisdictions still do a sniffer test.

The codes will come back. You can drive for a little while before monitors set. Once they set, the codes will come back. If you go before the monitors set, you'll fail for readiness.

I've been driving for almost a year without the DPfix and codes haven't came back since.

Is there maybe something in the bms backend flash that disables codes for that?

Backend flash disables the code. Most jurisdictions allow one monitor to be not ready. I passed like this.

In Germany People Flash where Codes are enabled, but before that they drive the Car "hot" the only reason why you get Codes is the cold Start. When cat are warm, You will get readiness. Of Course you can not Drive to Emission test and Let it become cold again.
