SD is on the rise though... Alex at Tag Motorsports really has a good following and HRE is right there in Vista as well.
Yup, I work across the street from both as luck would have it. Missed both open houses the last two years due to work but hopefully that'll change this year. Given the proximity, going to have TAG do my next car most likely. Rob seems to be pleased with their work.

One thing about the F's is that they are uniquely recognizable - that's important to me for performance-oriented cars.

This is interesting:

13. BMW M4 1:23.73 randy pobst

14. Lexus RC F 1:23.73 randy pobst
BMW M has a very poor diff. Not very good at putting down power. That's my take anyway.

I bet if the M4 had the diff from our Jags, then it would put in better times.

Thought that the F82 M4 had the same E-Diff as the M5 and was highly rated? I think that the power delivery is tough on certain tracks for the M3/4.

There is no doubt that Jag has a fantastic Diff, but what you are referring to is not the BMW Diff issue by itself. The wheel base on your Jag is much shorter than M5/M6 wheel base so basically it's very hard to make correction on M5 if you lose the control and that's why the DSC intervene more than Jag ... the same thing when you mash the gas with DSC OFF... an small amount of spinning on rear tire makes a bigger slipping compare to Jag... Also Jag is almost 1" wider than M5 while M5 is 7.5" longer than Jag!
Speaking about M4 vs Jag, again the M4 has longer wheel base (7") and Jag is 2" wider than M4. In addition, although M4 generates about 100 lb-ft less torque at crank (actually it's underrated anyways), but has shorter ratio at first gear (4.81 vs 4.71) and shorter axle ratio (3.46 vs 2.56) plus it's 200-300 lb lighter than Jag so the torque (at wheel) / weight ratio that generates acceleration is more than Jag! Based on my calculation (I might be wrong) at first gear, M4 transfers 6000 lb-ft of torque to rear wheel while Jag transfers 5400 lb-ft if we consider 10% drivetrain loss for both cars. The point I'm trying to make is that todays high performance cars like M3/M4/M5/M6 or Jag cannot go against the laws of physics...
For rear or mid engine cars like 911, Ferrari it's different story...
