Alpina Dash Trim - Missing a letter!

I picked up my XB7 this week. As a long time BMW owner of a great many various models, this is certainly vying to be my favorite so far.

It's a great mix of the X6MC it replaced (obviously doesn't handle as well, but gets scary close), and the luxury and practicality of my 2019 X7 50i.

The ride quality is just incredible, even with 23"s - easily beats my Range Rover, and even my prior X7.

I'll write up a full review when I get a free moment - but I did notice that the "I" in "ALPINA" is missing on the Myrtle dash. Is anyone else's with this trim?

As many concluded that the only difference is the branding, can I get 1/6th of my money back?.... ;p

[Joke - this is clearly not just a badge difference....]

Congrats! And excellent choice in trim, I might say. I would have chosen the same with an XB7.

Yes, you're missing an "I". Unless Vanna White appears at your door to buy a vowel from, just point that out to your dealer, and I'm sure you'll get a replacement, with a good apology to boot.

Did the dealer miss this in the pre delivery inspection? Curious what your dealer says about this and the resolution???

LOL. Unless purchased in the back alleys of Wuhan, I think we can be confident this is still an Alpina. Not like a "Feaulex"

How about factory quality control? From the part inspector to the various assembly inspections to final inspection
..

Oh, and the VPC. None of those steps picked up an obvious defect in a 140K BMW. Kinda, wow.

I think they should throw in a Polex watch to make up for the mistake

Sorry about that. That’s typical assembly in the US quality and not too much to worry about. Personally, I skip COO US vehicle unless grocery shopping cars

Actually it’s human error and believe it or not humans live in Europe. I’ve had a car that was built in Europe delivered to me with a different color driver door. It happens with every brand no matter where it’s assembled.

Yeah, sh*t happens, and I'm not worried. This is only a minor cosmetic issue in the grand scheme of things - but one of the many things I love about BMW and my dealer is that I know if this actually matters, they'll take care of it and me.

I couldn't say the same for MB or Land Rover - which is why I keep coming back.

Are you sure this car wasn't a knock off from China?

There are a few ex Bentley owners here stating the same thing. I guess the common complaint was Bentley‘s customers time is not considered a priority. Bentley service pulls the old…”if you want it done right it will take some time to sort it out” reasoning for even the smallest warranty fix.

I briefly looked at the Bentaga a few years back and stayed with BMW. My dealer picks up all my BMW’s for anything done and will leave a demo car if I ask.
