335d has a $4,500 rebate & you get the $900 tax credit. You should test drive it before you buy anything. 265 HP & 425 lbs Torque.

Make this a poll and use our answer solely as what you should do.

the thing is..328 is ok..but I know im going for a 335 because its a whole different animal..but i would have to wait to trade it in..i mean i bought it september..i want to enjoy it at least a couple years..n then maybe jump on the new 335 coupe (2012-2013) ..maybe you should stick with an e46 ci and get the F32 once it hits the streets in 2012..thats what im doing ..waiting for the F32 before i step up...until then i can never complain about my 328...I love it

edit:disregard the e46 comment since i confused the op's thread with another similiar thread

Buy the 335 - you're trying to convince yourself the 328 will be okay and you'll regret it every day you drive it. Trust me.

I think the 328 will be a step down for you. I test drove the 37s when buying my car and liked it a lot. It's comparable to the 335. There is a known HPFP issue with the 335, which was one of the deciding factors in my going with the 335d.

Trans choice will make a big difference

Only get the 328 if you opt for 6MT & Sport --- otherwise the 335i with a proven maintenance history is the choice.

thanks guys; seems the majority of you have recommended the 335..kinda not surprised there lol. i guess maybe if i was coming from a different car it'd be slightly different..either way though I'm going to try and test drive both back to back somehow someway..and i'll keep everyone posted thankss!

and to the person that posted about the MT / sport; i'd want either car with MT and the M Sport package.

328 is a nice car, but the 335 is worth the extra $5-7k for the torque alone.

Not gonna lie, the rush of torque when passing on the freeway totally makes the 335i a blast and a half to own. I can not recommend it strongly enough.

I have a 328 loaner right now and it just simply isn't fun after driving the 335 daily.

The 335i is overpriced. It isn't worth 7500$ more than a 328i. Deduct 1500-2000$ for equipment differences and I don't see how an optional engine is worth 6000$. A lot of hype. A car that accelerates 0-60mph in less than 6.5s is plenty fast. The only reason I would take the 335i for its much better engine note - the N52 is too silent.

Once you get either one, it'll be fine because it's only relative to what you compare it to. The 328i is only slower when you compare it to something faster (like a 335i.) The 335i is only slower when you compare it to something faster (like a 997TT.)

Regret only happens when you start comparing what you think you should have bought. And want only happens when you think there's something better.

Do you get what I'm saying(?)

On the other hand, it's not just $80 a month, it's $2880 after the 36 months. Put the $80 away each month and you'd have a nice little vacation at the end of your lease.
In that case you might as well get yourself a civic. After all you wont know what you are missing. Know what I am saying? Get the 335 for sure!
