i understand. so when i go there tomorrow u think they would give me the car for around 31k-32k out the door after taxes and all the hidden stuff?

dont limit yourself to one car, if you dont get what you want WALK...they will either chase you down and give you what you want or you can go to another dealer and tell them and they will be happy to be cheaper

Yes, I think you could do a little better on the price, especially near the end of the month.

I realize you're looking at a 2007 E90 335xi, but as a comparison, on 31 Dec 09 I bought a CPO'd Jet Black/Terra 2007 335i Sedan with 6-speed manual, ZSP-Sport Package (with Oil Cooler), ZPP-Premium Package, ZCW-Cold Weather Package, Comfort Access, and 27,200 miles. I paid just under $27,800* + tax, tag, title and doc fees. I also got 0.9% financing from BMW for 48 months (the sale price was actually $29k, but BMW made my first two payments).

I had no trade-in, so the dealer didn't play a shell game with the sale price.

The car's original 2007 invoice cost was $42k and the original MSRP was $45k.

The suggested CPO price was $31,995.

The car’s in-service date was 22 Nov 06, so I had 11 months of free maintenance and 35 months of warranty remaining.

The GALVES TRADE-IN VALUE was $22,800 and the GALVES MARKET READY VALUE was $24,250 on the E90 I bought. I estimated the value of the CPO at $2k, so the dealer probably had about $25k-$26k into the car.

That was 5 months ago and 2007's have continued depreciating since then...

By-the-way, I bought the car at BMW of the Main Line, near Philadelphia, PA.

That's exactly what I paid in January for the exact same car (mine had 26k miles). Like you, I also did all negotiations over the phone, then (like you), drove 3 1/2 hours to get it. Deja vu all over again! Congrats!

Do all your negotiating BEFORE you get there. Otherwise it will be a waste of time for you. Even over the phone they probably will still try to pull a fast one! Good luck and post pics when you finally get one.

Honestly this sounds like a pretty good deal and you have the numbers straight. CPO is key, imho no CPO = you will see some very low prices.

Being the original owner on my car which listed for 46,xxx, I would never take 23k for it in trade. I would simply buy another car and keep this one. But as far as BMW having a strong resale, that's a myth! That's where the infiniti and lexus, AND honda fanboys have us beat.

They do--I had a price agreed to with the CA over the phone, and she puts her manager on saying we agreed to this price, and suddenly before my eyes hundreds start getting tacked on for marketing, training, etc. I told him forget it (no joke) and I'll buy it an another dealership, and I named 3 others. He said to come in and he will show me the marketing and training fees on his screen. I told him I don't need to see the screen because I'm not paying those fees period, whether he is or not is of no concern to me. Then he puts me on hold and tells me we have the original deal. I had him on mute so he kept saying, "Are you there? Are you there? Did you hear me?" And the co******* said "Gray Popular Wood," that's how dumb these dumb a**** are, and they're the managers.

hey guys, picked up the car tonight and will psot pics tomorrow. unfortunately i got ripped off hardcore but gave into the dealers price because i couldnt stand waiting for the car and driving 4hrs back empty handed. If i had left i was afraid the car would be sold because of the rarity of color combo and mt transmission plus the xi. when i got there i found out that the car was 33,500 BEFORE trading in my car and AFTER my $2500 trade in the car comes out to 31k. I got extremely mad at everyone and even tried to get them down to 32 at first and then 32500 and the best they did was 33k. they clearly knew i wasnt leaving empty handed and this is the reason they wouldnt goo any lower. honestly fuck them sorry to say itlol. at the end of the day, this was my first car purchase(im only 21) so i guess you live and you learn. on the positive note, i could careless that i paid a little extra because this car is just way too awesome. been my dream car every since i laid my eyes on the concept version.

Congrats, OP! Sorry about the deal, but in my opinion as long as you're happy at the end of the day, then that is all that matters.
