Congrats on the new M60! It appears to be highly specced. What was the MSRP? Is this the 'Silver Ash Root Open Pore Wood' trim? It doesn't have a glossy finish but does it feel like it has a matte finish? Did this selection add a few weeks to your build?

It also pains me to see a brand new custom order vehicle getting the front bumper drilled for plates. It looks like the screws taps not only into the black trim but also into the painted bumper too?

It's interesting that they are still using the Conti 6 SSR's on new cars as they have been discontinued. They must have some stock leftover. I just swapped my wife's 2023 X7 6 SSR's for the All Season DWS 06 plus, when yours wear out put these on and you can ditch the crappy run flat's and enjoy a much smoother ride.

Yes it’s silver ash, no it’s not glossy. I’m not a fan of gloss. It’s perfect it match’s the atlas grey perfectly because it fades from dark to light. No extra time on build.

Yeah no way around front plates in Texas. I’ve heard places that have wrapping for the front plate but not legal here.

I went through Katie at BMW GALLERIA (Bilioxi Mississippi) she made the whole purchase an experience I mean blew my mind! Total red carpet. I got a great deal call her let her know your calling from the fourm and see what she can do on a custom order. 361-443-1166 or Katie.zazzara@galleriabmw.com. She beat my best offer. They also offer shipping. If you can travel I will say she will make it worth it.

Ordered Skyscraper Grey Metallic, 40i, M Sport Pro for the wife. Added climate and driving assistance too. Went into production queue today, can't wait.

We entered the production queue a few days ago...hooray. I know it's unpredictable and varies car to car, but about how long has it been taking for cars to finish up, once they enter the production queue?

I just ordered a few days ago.

Paying cash. Dealer said no deposit needed. Is this common?

they probably feel they can sell it even if you back out or you have a prior relationship with them.
i dont think i've actually paid a deposit to my dealer in over a decade, they take my CC # but never actually run it.

Nice! I hope I get a status update on my X7 M60i soon! On 10/5 I got Production 150 status. It has been in the “Production Begins” stage in My BMW Garage since. I wonder if my build is taking a little longer since I was able to get the carbon fiber mirror caps? My CA said completion date of 10/21 without delays.

Placed an order for an X7 xDrive40i in early October for a November build. First time doing the Performance Center delivery in SC, too. Pretty "boring" build as it'll be my wife's daily, and she didn't want to deal with tire/wheel changes:

Manhattan Green Metallic
Cognac Sensafin
Driving Assistance Pro
Parking Assistance Package
Premium Package
Climate Comfort Package
21" Y-spoke Bi-color Ferric Gray Wheels
Tow Hitch

Looking forward to the solo drive home from SC to NYC in December.

I wish we got Carbon Fiber trim for inside the cabin. It would have gone better with the Carbon Fiber mirror caps IMO. However, we went with Fineline Black Wood trim since the wife wanted it to be “classy” on the inside. Our other two options were Carbon Fiber or Piano Black trim. We wanted some sort of black trim so it wouldn’t take away from the beautiful Tartufo leather.

Anyways back to the topic at hand. Called BMW Genius today and they said car should finish production on Wednesday! Then into QC! Love the BMW MyGarage, but I needed a more detailed update!

Now it’s time to order some floor mats and trunk liner with the updated production news. Hopefully, I will receive them before picking up the SAV! Top pick is Weather Tech vs TuxMat, plus the Weather Tech factory store was a great experience when I went back home to visit the parents!

Placed my order with the dealer yesterday, 11/6 at 3:30p and now a little over 24 later it's in production with a code 150. Guessing they are cranking them out. Shows a production date of 11-21-23.

I pulled the trigger last week on a custom order from Galleria BMW down in MS. Katie has been great to work with so far. I was planning on just having the vehicle shipped up here to NC. The PCD would be a great option since the factory is only about 1.5+ hours from me. However, I've learned that adds quite a while to the delivery.

I reached out to the BMW PCD contact and he said that if I wish to take "delivery only" I can reach out to my sales rep and have them assist me with arranging "courtesy vehicle delivery at a local BMW Retail Center" (my guess is the BMW dealer in Greenville, SC.

I've pinged Katie to inquire about this but I haven't heard back. Has anybody gone that route before? If it's possible, that would save me some money and likely allow me to pick it up sooner. Thx!

so courtesy delivery is dependent on the local dealer agreeing to do it.
most will not as you didn't buy from them or charge you a prep fee (not cheap).

Gotcha. I figured there could be some issues with that and there would be a cost associated. My alternatives aren't great either as the most likely alternative I'm looking at is paying to have it shipped. Which wouldn't be cheap and adds probably another week or so to delivery.

Figured I'd at least ask (still haven't heard back, so that tells me all I need to know. ha).

Thanks for the info, regardless!

yeah, dealers tend not to like doing it period because its a sale they lost. and also they end up taking on dealing with any issues (car damaged in transit, customer training, etc) that they arent "benefitting" from.
