Shadowline trim swap - XB7

I know the answer to this but my dad is looking at a 24 XB7 and the sales rep is saying the trim cannot be swapped out for shadowline.... (only option it doesnt have). He also specifically mentioned that the grille DEFINITELY cannot be swapped for a shadowline grille. I've swapped more bmw grills than I can count lol.

I've never heard of trim not being swappable.

Can you confirm that the sales rep is 100% incorrect?

I ordered the shadow line trim and was hoping to swap out the grille as well. Hopefully someone will know the answer or else I have to go another route

Is that just the grill? or the grill + the active shutters behind the grill. There are silver trim pieces on the active shutters that also have to be replaced with the black active shutters to achieve the full blacked out shadowline look.

There isn't any silver trim on the active shutters.

It was about $650 and the process was easy. Just follow this thread... https://g07.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1990100

Good luck

Anyone want to get rid of the Chrome pieces? I have a 2020 X7 M50i with shadow line. I hate it. Want all chrome.

Did you actually have to move the stock grill’s lighting harness over to the black grill? Or did the new black grill for 650(!) include a new lighting harness;
is it TRUE pnp? That diy tbh looks ugly tedious.

My 2024 XB7 gets here in two weeks. Just want to be sure that this part BMW (51-13-5-A23-E89) is all I need. Didn't fully understand about removing chrome slats. I want to get the parts not so it can be swapped out when they are doing PPF and installed Radar

Edit to add for anyone looking in the future that the grill is all you need
