Am I getting close?! *Delivered! - Pics on Pg. 3*

Hi! First post! New to the forums. Been a longtime Infiniti and Tesla driver. Super excited for my first Bimmer! It looks like my X7 M50i has entered production this weekend. Does anyone know typically how long it takes from this point?

You've got some time, depending upon the options you've selected and how close to South Carolina you are. When mine entered production it took about 3-4 weeks before I finally took ownership. The ivory interior held my build up according to my salesman.

I was checking the website several times throughout the day to see if it moved to the next dot. I even swung by the dealership at one point because the dot hadn't moved in 4 days, but when it started moving…..it moved pretty quick and some times moving 2-3 dots per day.

It tried to create a crowdsourced list with info, but with the semiconductor shortages not sure its accurate (also I only got 3 people to participate). As for me, my experience (March this year) was two weeks to completion. Since I’m on the east coast it was very quick from then to get the car - less than a week shipping - but I’ve seen people on the west coast wait a month after completion.

From the 3rd to the 4th dot can take up to 2 weeks. But once it hits the 4th dot, it will go through the rest of them pretty quickly (like in 1 or 2 days).

How do you get to see this view? I’ve never seen it in the U.K.

Don't know about U.K., but in US, once you place order, you should get a order/production #. You create an account on bmwusa site and put in that # and it will show you status. Or you can call the 800 genius # and give them the order/production # and get the same (most of the time) status.

I'd say you should have the vehicle in around 3 weeks.

More like 2-3 weeks mine took two weeks
the bad thing about it is that it's not updated
calling BMW relations is better for a more exact status

Called the BMW Genius line today. I was told its my production week and they expect it to be completed September 1st, that's in 2 days! Put a huge smile on my face. The gentleman still couldn't confirm however how long it would take to reach Texas.

Do you have to provide some kind of production number to get status from 800 genius? For some reasons, my dealer just wont give me the number no matter how I ask. Weird.

Not sure which part of Texas but it took about 5 days to reach my DFW dealer once the carrier picked it up (and another 2 days waiting for carrier to be assigned).

BMW X7 Production timeline

My production confirmed date is Sep 1, 2021 too. (35th week). But the statyus shows as of Aug 31 (morning) as Production Begins only (online).
How about yours with Sep 1 confirmed date?

Yes, you need your production number or the last 7 digits of your VIN. I believe the production number is generated pretty immediately after the dealer submits your order. I would continue to pressure them to give it to you. If that fails, call the Genius line and see if they can look it up for you with your name and phone number.

Checked just now 9am CST 8/31. Still showing production queue. I have read My Garage tends to be a little behind however.

Nice! I did call and reconfirm production completion is tomorrow 9/1 however My Garage still showing step 3. The phone rep did state My Garage could be up to 2 days behind so hoping to see the change later this week. Either way, exciting stuff!

Looks like you have almost the same production schedule as mine. My car is supposed to get built by 8/31. My status moved rapidly from this morning to quality check.

Thanks! My daily driver right now is a Tesla Model S LR. The X7 will be my wife's. I'll be driving it whenever I miss the rumble of an exhaust.

Compared to your Tesla, it will sound like a monster truck You'll also be pleasantly surprised how quickly the beast can move when you ask.
