Curbed... Anyone make a lip yet?

It's happened already

The inevitable.. But I didn't think it would come this sooner.. I'm only on the 17th day of ownership but coming from a 135i.. I am definitely apparently not used to how long the car is & how long the front-end is.. Pretty upset.. And the clearbra is now a little effed up too there where it rolls down.. not sure what to do about that..

Does anyone make a lip yet? I haven't seen any around..

FUCK!! That hurts. Tough learning lesson. Keep an eye on IND. I'm sure it won't be long.

OOOuch... how did that happen? Were you parking or driving up something steep?

Just get the M performance front splitters/lip and it will completely hide the damage.

I was parking at an angle on an incline.

Yeah, it hurts.. pretty bad...

Do we know when those come out??

Are you sure you want a $1000 lip being damaged the next time, a lip that sits even lower? Might want to get it painted instead, should be cheaper.

$1000?!! No I'm thinking like aftermarket $300 lip lol. If that gets too banged up than replace it.

Yeah most definitely. eBay front splitter all the way lol.

Seeing as a front lip from BMW Perf. for the F30 is around $500.. I can only imagine how much the F80's would be.

Pro-Tip:

When approaching a curb. As viewed from the drivers seat, line the top edge of the curb up with the bottom edge of the side rearview mirror for perfect damage free parking everytime.

EDIT:
Just saw that it was from a hill and not a curb

and that looks like if you cleaned it most of the black road residue may come off

Go to an automotive paint store and buy a pint of touch up paint for your car and brush it on. That part of the car is rarely ever looked at anyway and it's bound to happen again. Save your money.

Just get that BMW touch up paint its two stage. It'll hide that well enough so you won't have to look at it while you wait for the lip.

I feel your pain. My Z4M coupe has very low "fangs" on the front bumper. My first coupe was curbed a bit. When I bought my second I was happy to see the RPI made "skid plates" that bolted under the front spoiler fangs. They are thin, metal and not noticeable. I wonder if a similar product will be made for the F8X.
